The company can sue to the Tahs. And they should win that judgment easily. They invested a lot of money for your logo on the jerseys. They're losing advertising because of a poor NSW management. Missing more than a month before the start of the season and they signed the contract long ago. If its logo doesn't appear on the fan jerseys is by the fault of NSW management or Canterbury

Depends on the volume to be manufactured and what other jerseys they have in production. If they're being manufactured in China they soon have to compete with Chinese New Year where the whole country shuts down for several weeks.

Often Im given lead times of 12-16weeks for items I have produced in China.

Nah, that's rubbish..........

The Brumbies were selling Aquis sponsored jerseys last year despite them only signing on the week of Round One..........

Similarly a few years earlier with UC coming on board weeks before the season began.........

While they may not be able to get them in stock for the start of the season, there's no reason the Tahs can't sell those jerseys this year.

It isn't that hard, a lot of the jerseys these days are essentially just 4 colour printed "lycra'ish fabric". So the same plain "fabric" of every other jersey is just printed to the colours and size specs. That has shortened lead times.

I expect a photo opportunity some time soon to announce the sale of badged product.

The trick with the Tahs marketing is that they won't tell anybody when it is to happen in the interest of control the "message"

I apologise in advance if this post has already been discussed in earlier pages, there are just too many to check.

When I got my supporters pack with the draw fridge magnet, I had a close look at it and noticed that its a very strange set-up:

• Matches 1-9 (two byes) are all against Australian teams except round 4 against the Highlanders. We don't play another derby until the finals. No game against another Australian team after April 23!
• Matches 10-12 are against SA teams, after which we don't play any of them either. Only one game in SA at Newlands against the Stormers - that's a big positive! Two SA games at home.
• Matches 13-17 are all against NZ teams, except one against the Sunwolves. Two at home and two away.

That it has fallen into three clear blocks is probably just dumb luck. But it illustrates what a dog's breakfast the draw has become and I guarantee that some teams will get an easier ride to the finals than others. We play NZ teams five times and there are no easy matches now that Kirwan has gone. There are plenty of easy games in the SA conference, but we only picked up two of them. We only play the Rebels and Force once, though given our appalling recent results against the Force that might be a blessing.
I still think it would be fairer and there would certainly be less travel if there were three conferences: Australia and Japan, NZ and Argentina and a stand-alone SA. The fact that the NZ conference would be the strongest could be overcome by making sure each team plays a more equal amount of games against each conference. Eighteen rounds, five per conference plus three extra derbies. Three weeks of finals as per last year.
It won't ever happen but it would be interesting to know the rationale behind what SANZAAR have done.

A fair and equitable draw would be dumb luck. SANZAAR is all about maximising financial return, through agreement of all parties - as you know from Aust politics when several parties hold a little bit of power each we get negotiated and usually universally condemned results. This is a negotiated draw to appease all parties - not Joe Average supporter.

The draw from the South African Conferences makes sense.

Everyone in your own Conference home and away (for 6 games), everyone in the other local conference either home or away (for 4 games), and everyone in one of the non-local groups either home or away (for 5 games).

So in a 4 year cycle, you'll play everyone in your own conference 8 times, everybody in the other local conference 4 times, and everybody in the other group twice, evenly split between home and away. Looks well structured, almost american in sporting efficiency.

Contrast that to the oddity on this end. They've tried to do the same thing, as you can see with playing the other local conference either home or away (5 games) and one of the non-locals either home or away (4 games). To keep it equitable with the other conferences, we still need 6 games, so you'll play 2 teams from the locals home and away and 2 either home or away.

Theoretically, that should still work out to playing everybody in your own conference 6 times, everybody in the other local conference 4 times and everybody in the other group twice across the 4 year cycle. On each individual yearly fixture though, it does, and will continue to look ridiculous up till 2020.

This is the same for all Australian teams isn't it?

6 games against the other 4 Aussie sides (two teams home and away and two teams once only)
5 games against every team in the NZ conference.
4 games against against all 4 sides in one of the SA conferences (which will include either the Sunwolves or Jaguares depending on the conference you get).

Especially when you consider the Jaguares should absolutely roger everyone they come up against in pool play. The only threat to them winning is the travel.

Travel fatigue but also fatigue from playing the June internationals and having no mid season break.

At least with most other teams, the majority of the squads can refresh during the June test series. Unlike the Jaguares, where the entire team will be running out for the Pumas.

No disrepect to Dennis, he has been a loyal servant for the Tahs, but I imagine his starting position might be under a bit of pressure.

It wasn't the best kept secret. Hooper has been laying it on thick reviewing the practice sessions in huddles at the end in an articulate and forthright way.

He is an impressive young man.

Dennis will handle the off-field side of things and it will work well because Dave is all Tah and doesn't have a selfish bone in his body.
