As my team have finished last and are out of contention I've jumped on the Strikers bandwagon.

Dizzy has a habit of winning trophies wherever he goes.

Yeah I would agree with that, Light. Dizzy is turning into a super coach and I think he'll go all the way with the Strikers this year. They've beaten us twice and will most likely have two home finals. They're odds on for mine.

Great game last night between Strikers and Hurricanes. Thought that the Stikers would chase down that small total quite easily, but credit to the Hurricanes for really defending well in the middle overs. In the end the Strikers were a little lucky to get away with it. As we see in many sports, some teams just find something to win the close ones - in BBL05 it's the Strikers and the Scorchers who just make it happen.

EDIT: That English leg-spinner Rashid looks good.

Another meek capitulation from the Sixers. Well done to the Thunder - the better team all over the park. Sixers need a large broom put through the franchise in the off-season.

For the sake of Michael Hussey, I'd like to see the Thunder go all the way, but the best two teams all year have been the Strikers and the Scorchers - love to seem them play a final at Adelaide Oval in front of 50,000.

What a terrible batting performance from the Scorchers tonight (and very good bowling from an undermanned Stars side). That's certainly thrown the comp wide open now, but I still think the Strikers should go all the way.

Thunder too good. Strikers choke for the second year in a row - top of the table and crash out in a home semi.

I'd love to see the Thunder win for Mr Cricket to go out with a victory.

F U Watson gets a guernsey with the Oz T20 team, and then throws in his usual shocker. How does this bloke survive in pro cricket? He's not only fooled some of the selectors all the time, or all the selectors some of the time, he's fooled all the selectors all the time!

Mates rates.

Anyway, fuck Watson - The Waj is killing it and never looked troubled. On a typical flat T20 wicket he's not going to struggle.

Its a question of whether India serve up their usual dustbowl rubbish for the T20 world cup, after seeing their ODI heroes put down like a mob of lame dogs on our current set of flat tracks.

The T20 games next week will be interesting to judge where we are.

You're asking why the two time IPL MVP is getting selected in preperation for the T20 WC in India?

(That's a lot of acronyms)

Smith, Maxwell and Bailey should be more than capable of handling the spinning conditions, the question is really the openers IMO. SMarsh and Koala are probably the best players of spin, but Finch is the Captain, and Warner is the incumbent in all forms.

Kwahaja's form has been extraordinary. Not only his scores, but the manner in which he makes them. Clearly, one of the best cricketers in the country atm. Why he misses selection is a mystery to me. Had to laugh at Junior's faux pas the other night when he seemed to say that his non-selection was inexplicable - that from one of the selectors. Ha!:p
