I think it is fair to say we wont be playing finals rugby this year.

Give then 40 minutes each week and swap so they both get to play with starting players.

This is a tough one. Greene needs a lot more time but it is a tough ask to come in a close out games. He has an attaching mindset and threw a bad pass that lead to a Clan try when playing the percentages was probably the better option.

I don't know what the answer is, McIntyre is developing well with all the time he is getting and it is obvious Greene needs time to develop as well. Just not enough minutes in the game for them both the develop.

First and foremost, the coaches should and will do what gives them the best chance to win the game.

If this means Greene has to cop being second in the pecking order and has to work even hard to get meaningful minutes, well that's the way it should be anyway.

My rational for Greene getting 20 minutes consistantly is that McIntyre has invariably cramped up in the last 15 - 20.

It is a big ask for Greene to come out with games in the balance, but that is that is the option the coaches have and I'd rather see him given the responsibility than stick with a fellow rookie on one leg.

He threw a bad pass on the weekend - but hey, fair more experienced players have done worse. Hopefully the coaches are in his ear telling him he still has their confidence and they give him a chance to get back on the horse.

I am with you, I like them both as well. They both need to work really hard. Just a shame they are both in the same place in their careers as heaps of time on the paddock is what they both need and there is just the one spot.

Scoey, how much of the better playing might have been due to McIntyre playing flatter and letting his backs runners have good ball at or near the gain line? In the first half, he was playing distinctly flatter than he has previously, and he had Kerevi and Hunt, and even Ant Fainga'a, running through holes in the Landers' defensive line. Disappointed that the second half didn't follow the same script, but for me McIntyre's performance in that first half was a whole lot better than I've seen fro either he or Greene at any previous time (including at U20s). Think McIntyre needs to be persisted with for his own development and for the good of the Reds.

I'd be happy with Greene on for 20mins at the end of the match. It's time on the field and much better than him just riding the pine.

Frisby kicked too many "box kicks" and gave away too much attacking possession in the second half IMO.

The St.George Queensland Reds have signed Broncos forward Caleb Timu through to the end of 2017.

The 22-year-old will join the Reds for training at Ballymore immediately, after seeking an early release from his contract with the NRL club.

He has signed as a loose forward, a position he is familiar with after playing there as a student at St. Joseph’s Nudgee College and for the Queensland and Australian Schoolboys Rugby sides in 2011. The Australian Schoolboys side in 2011 also featured Timu’s new Reds teammates Jake McIntyre, Curtis Browning and Pettowa Paraka.

Puts Lolo under pressure I reckon.

Low risk signing, not the end of the world if he doesn't deliver. I guess let him spend the next couple of weeks with B-Rad while the team are in the Republic and then let him play in Premier grade for the rest of the season.

I see his junior team was Sunnybank, any chance the Reds will get him signed to another club to help ensure he gets game time?

Saia Tanginoa- Playing first grade Sydney Uni this weekend, was playing League to some degree I think
Waldo Wessels - First Grade Southern districts- Shute Shield
