William88 and Wavestowin,

Firstly turn it up fellas, neither of you don't have any 'valid' information on this, both just talking out of you're backside, with these allegations.

And also Matt Williams isn't even head coach, so how bout you get them facts right before you come out guns blazing...

Cheers

^^^^

My sons in the team and I just spoke with him. Apparently the school did say he was dropped but Matt Williams refused to listen to them.

What does that teach the boys!

It's time for Williams to go!
BM, don't know you but we have had chats over the last week,I am that Waverley parent who had "honesty corner" chats with you last week. I could not agree more with you re Williams, the school needs to move now. Didn't realise that your involvement in the 1sts was in the front line but your boys, their parents and all solid Knox supporters deserve much better. I almost feel as embarrassed as you do, furthermore the other schools also know what is going on, I heard this elsewhere.
On a brighter note, both schools will share the spoils this year, beware next year of the blue and gold, gauntlet thrown down!

I agree 100% but lets leave out the gorey details of what happened in last weeks game. There will be different versions.

Neither of us said anything about Williams.

And I said if the allegations were true...

But as they say, usually where there is smoke there is fire so..

Sorry bunny man, but have been told by absolute authority at last weeks game / loss that the toys were unfortunately thrown out of the cot. Whether head coach or not, clearly has influence, not a good example, please don't defend this.

Yeah my point, so you don't know anything about what's going on, just some rumour, which ask me why your ripping into the Knox (9) and their coach based off 'smoke'

Same for you white line fever, basing your allegations of rumours, so why can I defend this 'rumour'

I'm sure I'm not as close to the Knox circle as you bunnies based on your previous postings, your either in the team or one of the coaches.

But I would say that something has obviously happened and Knox have not followed through.

It's not me saying that, it's six other seperate people on this forum.

One of them is a parent of one of your team mates.

So the fire is pretty big and hard to ignore bunnies, but keep trying mate.

Of course you can and I am sure we all agree that the boys need the right leadership, but it is correct and needs to be stamped out, regardless of school.
Guys, let's move on, if there is case to be answered, it will.

Saw a really entertaining game of schoolboy rugby today between Knox and Trinity. Trinity were really 'up' for the game and acquitted themselves well on Knox's home ground. Rasch and Morris were standouts and make the impact that helps Trinity to be current ranked 3rd in the CAS competition. Trinity scored some great tries - particularly in the 2nd half when they threw the ball around more. There was no doubt that Knox were the dominant team, however I really admired the fight shown by Trinity. Knox lost many lineouts on their own throw. They box kicked too much and turned the ball over at the breakdown.

I was surprised that Trinity played possibly their best player, Longville out of position at No. 10. In this position, he doesn't have enough room to move and his speed in broken play cant be utilised. The Knox backs were very slick and the Woodcock, Armstrong, Stocks combinations made very good metres and looked dangerous at all times.

The Knox forwards struggled today. I would say that Trinity had their measure. Knox gave away a lot of turnover ball at the lineouts and through ruck/ maul penalties. However, despite this, having watched all teams in the comp now, Knox and Waverley are definitely both the benchmark teams for the competition, and any suggestion otherwise would be ungracious.

Let's stop the chatter about the "arrangement" to stand down certain players from certain schools for alleged actions in last weeks game and move on.

Outrage has been duly registered and defended. Pointless carrying on about it any more.

there are going to be some big shoes to fill, next year (2017) for Waverley ... O'Sullivan ....how good has he been!

.. and Drew-Morris .. a good captain is so important

I haven't seen a photo of it ... but that moment when he left the field (against Knox) with a bloody nose and steely determination

of course he was back on shortly thereafter

the main disappointment ... was that Patrick Clifton's season was cut short ... and hopefully in 2017 Liam Cornish will be back, along with Rogers-Smith

either way it was a good day for Waverley rugby, not just on the scoreboard, but with the general positive attitude ... and full credit to the Cranbrook kids

...if there is one thing you can say about Cranbrook rugby ....they sure are courageous

Sitting on the sidelines here and reading about CAS rugby, I had always assumed that Matt Williams was the 1st XV coach and was being paid a lot to do so.
Am I wrong? Does he have another title and perhaps a whole-school rugby responsibility?

With Knox to play Aloys and Waverley to play Barker in the last round, it will be interesting to see which teams ends up in front on points differential.
I always thought Williams was head of Knox rugby

Director of Rugby. Tai Glassie is head coach of 1st XV though Williams effectively co-coaches the team

This issue has been closed by the moderators of this thread. No specific discussion about foul play is allowed either. Best to drop it. The schools have dealt with the matter.

Updated table.

What was the for and against for the team that has come first for the past few years?

Does anyone know?

Waverley and Knox are averaging 41 and 37 points per game respectively.
