Question to Train without a Station: What is the common link between you, myself, and the coach of the 2015 Perth Spirit?

Mr Doug I can only conclude that you have also played for the mighty Pirates

Thought I might try resurrecting this old chestnut.

So the Spirit will be without the following forwards:
Tet Faulkner, van Wyk, Coleman (probably), Hodgson, Cottrell, McCalman and several others are/might be leaving (Charles, Alcock, Richie Arnold). Looks like there will be a few rookie Force, Future Force or local club players involved.

Onehunga Havillia - played wing last year right? Listed as a No 8 now? Any background people?
The word I am getting is that despite being named after a Auckland suburb, Havili was at the same school in Tonga at the same time as Taniela Tupou, and Vunipola Fifita (NSW U20 and Randwick Colts prop).

In about 2011, as fifteen year olds, Onehunga and Taniela both received scholarships to attend Schools in Auckland NZ, and Vunipola came to Australia where he attended Newington College. Fast forward five years and all 3 are in Australia, 1 in WA, 1 in Qld and 1 in NSW.

I think he played junior rugby at 8 and the Force were looking to convert him into a Nemani Nadolo type winger. Played a couple of Spirit games on the wing last year and was pretty reasonable for a 19 year old. Was a handful for a couple of teams. This year I noticed that they have been playing him at 8 for Palmyra. Not sure why. Maybe the experiment failed or the Force figured it wouldn't hurt to have a 110kg plus number 8 with enough pace to be a winger. Local rugby types have questioned his effort so it is possible that he could be the next Hendrik Roodt.

His numbers are pretty similar to that of Toutai Kefu- what I wouldn't give to have someone like that playing for the Force.

I think this is him, from the Force U20s.

Good start by the Spirit to get a win against a solid Rising side. Got to fix that scrum, but we are fortunate to facing off against arguably two of the weaker sides in the next two weeks.
