OK then, I've done a bit of research. It's aboriginal for mountain ash and there is a small shopping village with a landmark windmill which has its own Facebook page. Most of the streets are named after places in WA and SA. There were plans to connect it to rail but it never happened. No evidence of any rugby culture, the junior loig team are the Tigers.

Bringing it back on track, Hurstbridge. It is a town/suburb just outside of Melbourne. It is literally the end of the line, if your travelling on the Hurstbridge rail line. Home town of Peter Brock, and just a few k's from Eltham rugby club. Haven't been to the bakery, but there is quality food on offer at the weekend farmers market.

Ebor, NSW.

In the New England region roughly in between Armidale and Dorrigo. The town has a strong rugby heritage however due to its diminishing size the club hasn't been able to field a team for nearly 30 years. The last time I played there was in 1989, the field was at the showground and the club was a merged side between Ebor and Guyra playing in the 2nd grade comp despite fielding several representative players and they won they comp.

To my knowledge that was the last time the club was represented in a competition. The players then moved to clubs in Armidale, Guyra or Glen Innes.

It's also home to the famous Ebor Pie which is available at the local servo/general store. It's a serious benchmark for pie eaters, made with proper beef and perfect pastry.

Females are pretty thin on the ground, let alone MILFs.

ROBE - SA

Quaint little old pub called the Caledonian to greet you in a beautiful part of the world.
South of Adelaide and quite a geographically lovely place, with no Rugby to speak of at all with the closest club probably being Souths Rugby in Adelaide. MILF factor is not well known here, so any help from others?
The pie shop has been there since about 1884 as the sign says and the cranky bitch in there has been there for most of it. Passable dogs eye, but the rats coffin (sausage roll) could be used to break rocks, it was still softer than ms crankys attitude.
I think her attitude was because someone said that she would fit in well in auburn. She was scarier than auburn... Only just

Euchareena, NSW. A fairly obscure little village on the back road in between Wellington and Orange and to the east of Molong.

I'm not aware of a currently operating rugby club however, the area has provided its fair share of well known players. No idea of any pie shop and I'm not sure if any MILFs are currently in residence, however there is one prominent family from the town which has dispersed at least 4 of them into city communities !

Auburn - Vic.
Everything that Auburn NSW is not. Being one of the well heeled Melbourne suburbs the MILF levels are high. Designer pies are the order of the day. Closest rugby is down Auburn Rd at the Kiwi-Hawthorn rugby club. The field becomes a bit of a shambles in winter due to poor drainage. Also home of the Geebung Polo Club

Northbridge WA: (got the idea from the last post as Northbridge NSW was already used)

Never been there myself, but would be a place to go to when visiting Perth due to its restaurants and nightlife in the inner city environs.
Consequently, pies and MILFs would be plentiful, and as for the local rugby club, it's the Western Force, none the less, at the nearby NIB stadium!

East Gosford - a short stroll past the sparkling waters of Brisbane Water on the way to the infamous 2260 - (AKA Terrigal) . An excellent Pie shop Billabong originally run by the Downes family and more recently been renovated to a more upmarket bakery to suit the doctors and lawyers who appear to have made East Gosford their home.
As far as pubs The Elanora is an icon in the area run by the same family for 3 generations and you would go a long way to have a better gnaw than the burger of the week.
Rugby clubs are split between Gosford and Terrigal depending on your demographic as to where your little Johnny wants to play

Dunn's Swamp.

Not a town, but a place being a dam on the headwaters of the Cudgegong river. East of Rylstone.

Was originally built about 100 years ago as a water supply for cement works at Kandos.

Now just a great place to camp and go kayaking.

Milf rating would be very high a peak camping season, Easter and school holidays.

NIL PIES

Local Rugby club would be Rylstone but has been in recess for some 50 years. So Mudgee Wombats with the ERL emblem on jersey would be closest active club.

Pyalong - Vic. It was a one horse town in Central Vic, then the horse died. It does have a golf course and I have yet to see a golf course sans pies. MILF status is dubious. Closest rugby would be up at Puckapunyal with the Army lads of a bit further away in Shepparton.

Gresford - NSW , Nestled at the base of the Barrington ranges on the Paterson river this place is famous as to the residence of Dr Henry Lindeman who despite being a practitioner commenced to dabble in wine production. Who could ever forget the classic Ben Ean Moselle (aka Benzene).
One pub in town and the Milf count is negligible (apart from the odd B&B visitor).
Closest rugby clubs are the Singleton Bulls or Maitland Blacks both strong clubs in the Hunter.

Drouin, VIC. Hometown of Garry Ablett Snr and Lionel Rose. Located in South Gippsland West of Warragul just off the Princes Fwy. Rugby - No, Pies - Yes, but never had the pleasure, MILF's - Never had the pleasure.

Northam, WA. It's about 100km NE of Perth, the only reason I know of it is because I've seen the races on there from time to time. Can't find any evidence of a rugby culture not surprisingly, nor any pies nor a MILF report.

Mudgee, NSW. The real reason I selected the above town, I can't believe it hasn't been done already. Nearby minuscule localities with no houses such as Dunn's Swamp above and Aaron's Pass have been covered, and nearby towns like Rylstone, Gulgong and Ilford, but no one has actually done Mudgee! My hometown.

The local rugby club is the Mudgee Wombats. The Wombats play in the main Central West competition, the Blowes Cup. The town hasn't produced any Wallabies of note however there was one in the first Wallabies side (who's name escapes me, I will dig it up). The most recent representative product of the town is Matt Sandell who will likely get his debut for the Tahs this season, and before him it was Joel Wilson at the Brumbies. Several representatives of the Aus Schoolboys have hailed from the town, the most recent again being Matt Sandell.

The region has a well established wine industry however it is much more boutique in nature than say the Hunter Valley. There is also a brewery in the main street which operates as a cafe/restaurant as well. Pies are aplenty, the best ones are at McDonald's Bakery. MILFs are also aplenty, many are native but the town is also popular to Sydneysiders with young families who are looking for a tree change so that has introduced many more! Not to mention the weekenders!

Ken Sutcliffe of course hails from Mudgee and has been sighted much more frequently now that he has retired.

Soon to be planted firmly on the rugby map with the Waratahs v Brumbies trial on Saturday week and the club will also be pushing to host a NRC fixture at the state of the art Glen Willow stadium.

EDROM -NSW

Way down south where the men used to catch whales (they taste a lot like chicken) in Eden lay the sleepy hamlet of Edrom. Picturesque, quaint and relaxing. It is on the south side of Twofold Bay round from the old whaling station.
I am not sure of any Rugby in town so the closest would then be up the road in Bega. The Fisho's seems to do a good trade and the bistro was pretty good fare, but Martins pies are worthy. Good meat, good gravy and staff that make mrs cranky from Robe even worse than she really is. Not a big selection of pies, which I think is good personally as it means that they do well with what they have, but the pepper steak pie was bloody lovely! Oak Choccy milk too!
MILF situation wasn't truly reviewed as it was a shitty day when I went through there, but a shitty day in Edrom is always going to better than a lovely day in auburn... Like auburn will ever have a lovely day phhttt...

McLaren Vale..... It's in South Aust almost on the coast. Spent a few days in the area 2 weeks ago on a Adelaide to Melbourne coastal road trip. Good food including pies & pastries, plenty of wine if that's your go, MILFS everywhere to be seen, beaches close by, fishing,BUT, don't expect any response when you mention the word "rugby" as it only evokes blank stares and periods of silence unless you are talking to expat Brits who can still remember the game. I thought the Vics and Tasweigians were AFL centric but S Aust takes it to full blown "roids" level.

EAGLE FARM - QLD

Home to Brisvegas airport, where I am sitting now, waiting to get back to civilisation. It is muggy and rather bland.
I don't really care about the Rugby at this moment in time, the food/pie status is appalling with the choice of pie face/ Hungry Jacks/ Subway or wok on air which has stuff that looks like its still moving.
There has never been a higher concentration of RMW boots in the one place. It is amazing as I sit here waiting... Its like the entire GPS population of old boys are on a conference. (I am in mine too)
Positive side of things though is the MILF count is quite high as they are all escaping here to nicer places.
Sitting here in the airport is a nicer place than auburn

Mirboo North, VIC. No rugby here, and if to prove the point the local pub is run by a relative of two AFL players. Roughead by name, and nature. The pies are pretty awful. Home to the Grand Ridge Brewery who claim to be the world's most awarded.
