Here in Canberra a lucky few get to dabble in Federal Government stuff and at times may even have to writing things for persons whom hold positions of power or public office (if not both).

When this happens you are required to follow the preferences of the particular persons. This may include, but not limited to; font, size of font, spacing, format, tone, style, grammatical preferences and detailed requirements around level / depth of content.

As an example there are 226 elected members of parliament (both houses) and each has their own preferences. Added on to this list are all of the Departments heads and executives.

One particular person I have interacted with has a preference for NO PUNCTUATION other than full stops.

Does my head in!
