It's all about McMahon. He is the perfect player to build a team around.

We desperately need a 10, especially one that can kick sticks. I don't care if he's Aussie or not.

On the rumor mill there is still the Henry Hutchinson one, which i think is a little strange as we are stacked out wide (Naivalu, Koroibete, Placid, English, Maddocks, Hodge, etc.). There is also the Geoff Parling one, which looks like there is some truth to the gossip. He's lately announced he will be leaving Exeter to Japan, then off to Australia for next season, didn't name the team tho. Not naming the team kinda indicates it'd be either the Force or Rebels.

Team id like to see next season is

T Smith
Hanson
Lomax
(lock)
Jeffries
Timani
McMahon (c)
Mafi
(scrum half)
(fly half)
Koroibete
Tuipolotu
Hodge
Naivalu
Debreczini

Sa'aga
Siliva
Weekes
Toolis
C Fainga'a
(reserve scrum half)
Maddocks
English/Placid

He hasn't signed anything yet. We are still in the hunt, as long as we get some clarity from the ARU ASAP.

We need him selected for the Wallabies and have a stormer, that will put some pressure on the decision makers. On another point, i am happy if he'd like to head to Japan for a season, as long as he's back for Super rugby next season.

Need Mad Dog to stay.

Need Mafi to stay.

Need strength and conditioning boys to step up.

Need new blood in key areas (Lock and Fly half primarily).

Forget him, the only way is to produce your own. They will mostly always return. Reason why the WF started recruiting from SA and also built their own privately funded academy.

Yeh iv heard that as well. I guess the good point there is that he stays in Aus, as i truly believe he is one of the best players in the world in his position and he's only 22.

Agreed to some point, but class is class and he is a very good leader. Bring Gill back in exchange :p

By crikey, Mafi is a ball-carrying battering ram. And what a work rate! If he isn't in the top 3 retention targets, I'd be very surprised.

Has there been any formal indication that our heavy injury load leading into the season was a result of poor pre-season management by the S&C team? Usually that is the first place any review would go.

A pair of handy locks and a decent 9 and 10 are where we are woefully exposed.
