Why did Waves have so many players unavailable? It's pretty disrespectful and a little big arrogant to rest players and it eventually came back to bite them.

Knox V Joeys was a very good game. Knox were in the game for most part but Joeys with a few tries late in the game sealed it.

No players rested. They were injured.

An exciting game between Joeys and Knox today. Another example of why the teams from the different Associations should be playing each other.

Both teams had a high error rates with Knox continuing to make silly mistakes and turning the ball over. However, similarly, Joeys suffered from the dropsies in the first half and probably won purely because they were able to put together multiple phases late in the 2nd half.

Aside from the poor catch n pass, Knox played well and the lead changed throughout the game 5-6 times. The final score flattered Joeys - however they were deserving winners due to their fewer mistakes in the end.

Highlights from both teams were:

Joeys
Halfback Dylan Dowling had a solid game
Prop Fiu Gibson was aggressive at the breakdown
O/centre Dan Obrien ran into space well.

Knox
Flybalf Tom Woodcock held the new backline together, with good options and setup a try
Lock Dan Garing with his elusive ball running. Put his hand up for CAS selection
Nick Frost - yes excellent game again. He is having a great year.

Didn't appear too injured to me. One was running the water, one helped an injured 2nd XV player to hobble up the hill to his parents' car - and a forward at IC wasn't a great move. Niggling injuries perhaps, but not enough to stop them playing by the looks. I overheard some SIC oldboys coming b/c they heard Waverley had a really gun side and they wanted to watch them. I felt it was a bit disappointing - no idea of the full story but I reckon kids want to play and win every game. The season's not very long.

Wallace has a fractured foot.

Wright has bone bruising and has been carried from the field the last two weeks. They probably shouldn't have played him for the last two weeks.

Cornish has been coughing up blood all week.

Johnston has done his shoulder.

But sure mate, just make stuff up because you saw someone carrying water.

Wow. Evidently pushed a few buttons there. Obviously you appear to be on the Waverley College medical team as you appear to be across all injuries so I'll defer to your superior clinical comments. Can bones bruise btw ? And if you're coughing up blood for a week I assume Cornish is out for an extended period.

As I said, I'm not aware of the full story but am now thanks to Dr William88. Respect !

Mate, been at all games bar one. You appear to be particularly knowledgable, opinionated and aggressive. Best you sign off for the night as will I. Enjoy watching the games, but not interacting with ppl such as yourself. Ciao.

The injuries to Waves players sound quite serious.
Lets hope they recover in time for the Rep games.

Knox #1 is perfectly proportioned loose head. 2row who wore 18 today is pretty damn good. Knox 15 very zippy and the 10 is pretty handy.

So you saw him being carried off last week but think the injury is made up?

Good one.

W88,

Unless you are absolutely sure, and if you are please say so, I think your diagnosis of each Waverley boy outlined above, is probably a bit melodramatic, to say the least. I am sure Brumbie J is more realisitic.

I also remember very well a comment you made about Marco Bell not being fit enough, Absolute Dribble, silly thing to post if you want our really talented boys to make the CAS 1 's, as they well and an truly should.

I do remember you posted me, in the private convo, about what to say.
Think you should probably have a think sometime, as we all should at times.

I think we all have the same end game, BUT, let's call it is as it is, no game playing here, the change resistors/pie lovers will hate this but who cares, let's go forward.

Sideline, the "Rep" games are irrelevant right now, let's focus on winning the CAS comp.

CAS play GPS in about a month's time on the 20th June
NSW teams are chosen on the 24th June
The National Schools Championships are being held between the 2nd and 8th July.

That's all before the end of the school rugby season.
Obviously not irrelevant to the individual players.

If the players' injuries are being exaggerated a bit by any concerned supporters then I can understand that.

A speedy recovery to all the injured boys (from all the teams) and best wishes.
It did sound as though Wright needed a break to recover.

PS. I dont think the selectors read the postings on G & G, dribble or otherwise.
Please dont reply.

Hang on...hang on..hang.on!

I know that several Waverley Dad's (and 1 x Master/ coach W88) basically keep this CAS thread alive. We all love the passion for Waverley, and your support for the boys. However, as suggested above, have you W88 also been somehow, 'coordinating' or coaching the Dad's comments or 'private posting each other' on 'what to say'? What is the "End Game" for the Waverley dad's?

C'mon guys.this is embarrassing

Sure is. Scandalous too.

I'm thinking this could be on next weekend's 60 minutes.

This is starting to read like a le Carre novel!

Any news on Hardaker? I hope it is a false alarm. Whilst I would love Knox not to have him lining up opposite at Death Valley in 5 weeks, he would be be a huge loss to the CAS campaign this season.

They thought it was a break yesterday. Very sad news for the kid if confirmed after the potential he had for CAS games in the coming weeks.
