Mike Wazowski

Mike Wazowski, here is an update on my previous post with the assistance of updates from Gary Owen III and Honey Badger. Also taking into consideration form from trials as posted in the forum or in pre-season trial reviews. As I haven't seen all the teams play, in the interest of fairness, I haven't ranked GPS 1, GPS 2, GPS Blue and GPS White

Really struggling to find 4 additional locks. No disrespect to the players just no one has come up on the radar beyond those listed. So if anyone has additional suggestions, please share.

Likewise missing a half back and 2 wingers.

Also there will be a bench for GPS white so lots of blanks still need filling.

Note also some of the forwards have been moving around between front row, second row and back row. Makes it tough to compare so have selected where they appear to be favoured by their coaches!

Consider this a working list and happy for others to add to the collective wisdom.
Keen to hear if any prospects in TAS, Grammar or High note I haven't seen any of their games.

#1 Edwards (E), Hicks (K), Bell (N), Jansen (J)
#2 Devine (N), Heaven (J), Zylstra (S), Collard (E)
#3 Breen (S), Papantoniou, (K), Icanovski (N), Mclennan (I),
#4 Janson (N), J Williams (S)
#5 M Williams (K), Yates (J)
#6 Wellington (S), Scolari (J), Pepper (K), Quinn(J)
#7 Dalton (J), Harris (S),Brown (K), Kearns (N)
#8 Rorke (I), Lynch (N), Edstein Boyes (J)
#9 Dowling (J), Grant (I), Haldane (N)
#10 Minogue (K), Caputo, (N), Robson (S), Creagh (J)
#11 O'Brien (J), Afeaki (N)
#12 Bell (I), Everleigh (J), Savala (S), Sinclair (E)
#13 Reilly (J), Smith (S), Easy (I), Duckworth (K)
#14 Yasmin (S), Dutaillis (I), Apps (K), Shortis (J)
#15 Rixon (E), Kandalaft (J), Dellow (N), B Baker (S)

(J) 14 (S) 10 (N) 10 (K) 8 (I) 6 (E) 4

The Kings 9 shouldn't go unnoticed, should keep an eye on his performance.

This is a shortened version of an earlier post.

We are looking for writers for GPS games this year. Let us know in this thread and we will contact you. Also advise us about what school you want to cover.

We won't use you for more than two games - maybe one will do.

Please help.
--------------------

We have another project going on - a season preview.

A preview of the prospects of each school will be included - about 200 words long.

Or alternatively you could just write some punchy bullet points in this thread - even about more than one school. Punchy.
.

We are still looking for writers for Riverview, Kings and Shore and would like a backup for each too.

Also a back up for Newington.

Inside Shoulder a compliment ! Thanks mate :)

the Joeys 10 has moments of brilliance, punctuated with moments when you are reminded he is young

against Waverley he did some good things, but he sure drifted, and squandered some good attacking opportunities

so I agree with what is sounding like a consensus on what he needs to correct

that Xavier Ryan sure throws himself into the foray, with no regard for self preservation . and that is not for want of having copped a belting . Moretti didn't miss, I recall

and those underage centres, they might not yet have the wood on Reilly and Eveleigh , but they are going to see Joeys very strong in 2018

isn't Laurie Daly's son at Joeys?

either way looking forward to seeing Joeys match up against Kings and Scots come competition time . definitely worth the price of admission
Yes, LDs son is at the school. I hear that he is also excited about Joeys 2018 chances but that is certainly 4th hand.

Shore vs scots at Bellevue hill is my pick of the rounds.

Shore coming off a win from Newington and a few rumoured returns to injured players. With Yassmin the Winger out for Scots, could this be shore's chance to return? Luke edwards pushing for Rep selection alongside Sinclair, Collard and Rixon should be exciting. Breen vs edwards. Walker vs Smith will be exciting as the veteran faces the young bull. My bet is on shore by 3. You heard it here first. SHORTBALLSAM
If only there was a bet button next to the reply button, I would take the other to that one. Scots are on a different level to Shore.....but I hope you are right.

Joeys Scots,

On a smaller note, all of the Joeys teams scores were announced on Joeys Rugby Twitter except the Joeys 13a's V Knox 13a's.

I assume this score is known, can anyone please let us know.

Many thanks in advance!

The 13 A match was abandoned due to an injury to the Knox Hooker 10 minutes into second half. From memory Joeys were leading 4 tries to 1 or thereabouts.

well i guess at 5:30 on saturday arvo we will see one eyed pirate. Shore boys are playing for something else. I cant deny scots skill but it will be a battle to remember. Will it be the scots boys at the Oak celebrating or the might shore boys at minsky's ! its all ahead!

Yes good luck to Shore as I like upsets. Ps, I'm not a scots supporter

Have been informed of multiple injuries throughout the Kings 1st and 2nd XV. Currently, there are 10 injured players in these teams for kings. 3 of which are out for the season. Mingoue is out for this week. Will be interesting to see how Kings go with many injuries against a strong Newington side.
Did the injuries happen before or after the scots round? Did Kings play scots with a weakened team?

I have seen a few S vs E matches at Belview Hill in recent years, and I have seen only very close matches.

A penalty goal win after the whistle last year. (that still hurts)

Would expect a close match again if Shore can carry their form from last week

I think, since he's in Year 9, he'd be more excited about 2020, rather than 2018. He is actually a very fine winger in the mighty 15Cs, coached by Rod Cutler, but suffered a very serious knee injury in the trial against Trinity and is out for the season.

You are right Honey Badger
Shore always seem to lift for Scots.
Let's hope we have another thriller this Saturday
A hard match will be far better preparation for Round 1 the following week at Hunters Hill.

...it was a nice way to say Joeys are blooding players this year.
