^^ there was over 40 / 50 players selected in the original announcement if you go back through the post and only 12 can take field so I am asking who made the final cut which includes the question did harry. As for your 'somehow I think you know the answer' Comment , well if I knew I would simply write the list of 12 names.

No idea about Harry , yes I agree excellent player. As from what I saw this year I think you will find players outside the orginal squad will be selected as many injuries to top players before orginal squad announced along with current school form and players getting found out after making Australian / Barbarians team and also players really standing out in training .

Ratchet,
All I know at the moment regarding the Aus Youth 7's September Camp and selections etc that Harry attended is that he and some other players 18 years and over upon receiving Camp feedback from the selectors,
that they (selectors) were concentrating predominantly on the younger players (yr11) reason being developing them for the commonwealth games (age eligibility) kinda sucks really for the older boys, however Harry and some of the NSW Boys (sorry I'm unsure of the NSW Boys names at the moment so unable to name them) who attended the September camp were also told during their feedback, that they had made selection into the Waratahs NSW Men's 7's team
so not so bad after all!

Therefore at this stage I'm unsure of who has gone through to the next camp for the Aus School Boys 7's (don't be surprised to see some of the Aus Schoolboys/Baa baa's in the mix!) but do know Harry has made the Shadow team for the final 12.
If I should hear anything else I for sure will let you know.
Cheers

The U17 7s NSW State Championships are on this weekend 14th and 15th of October at Narrabeen Academy of Sports.

From these Championships a squad will be selected to represent NSW at the Nationals in Brisbane Dec 8-10.

Does anyone have a draw for the event this weekend? Do we know who is competing????

One of the selectors wouldn't be a Scot's old boy would he ?

Teams above are other way round - White is Blue and vice versa. Blue d SA by many to nil. Looked very sharp and took every opportunity they had. Better opposition may test them, but on that display they will be hard to beat.

Qld Red not overly convincing in defeating NT by 5 tries to 2. I think this is the qld 1s team. Will need a substantial improvement to worry the NSW 1s

The overall quality of the play on show is really pleasing to see. Definitely a jump up from last years edition. Some really promising talent on show. The little No.2 WA is a really good little player. Got a bit too excited in a tackle leading to a yellow but before that she had been cleaning them up in the tackle while defending and has great acceleration of the mark not only using it to run into space but to create it as well.

NSW White d Qld Red 28-14 after a very shaky start letting the Reds score 2 quick tries in first minute. A gutsy fightback. ACT up next which promises to be a real battle. Blue play VIC who looked to have some talent in their win over Qld White earlier.

Nsw Blue get out of jail with a last ditch try to beat qld White 22-17. Full marks to QW for taking it to NSW and exposing their Achilles heel - they struggled to deal with being turned around several times by a clever series of grubber kicks by QW. There muat be a few qld selectors wondering if maybe the jerseys got mixed up and this was in fact the red team.

Nsw White d a well drilled and gutsy WA 24-19 - kudos to WA coaches as both the boys and girls teams have been fit, committed, technically excellent and a real threat in every match. Ultimately, NSW won both pools at the end of a long day at Ballymore (and unless I'm mistaken, both QLD teams, having lost 2 pool matches each, are playing for bridesmaid slots). We may yet see a NSW v NSW final, though VIC and ACT will fairly claim a genuine say in that. Best of luck to all the NSW lads and girls tomorrow.
