Few notes from that half of rugby:
Wallabies looked surprisingly fatigued by the end of that, wonder if Cheika has been heaping on the fitness sessions.
Koroibete is great, he just seems so keen to get involved. Just watching him around rucks and tackles you can actually see his excitement to do something.
That last try by the Wallabies was pretty lucky and brushes over some pretty poor defending by us just before it.
Does seem to be like the guys are having a bit of a play around, not treating Japan with too much respect. Scott [Sekope?] should've held that ball every day of the week. Also fairly sure I saw Phipps trying to pilfer before about 10m out from our own goal line, think he should get back to sweeping.

And finally fuck it's exciting seeing the ball go between any of our fijian backs who can smash holes or to our front row bowling balls. But ain't it a let down when the ball gets passed to Simmons? It's like when your mum knocks on your door halfway through - just kills it.

He is doing fine, he is making some good decisions, moving the ball and backing up

Hasn't needed to throw too many long balls as of yet but yes his passing game doesn't look completely silky smooth like a Quade. I don't think you need to have a passing game like Quade though under Cheika's attacking structure though especially when a guy like Beale can chime in.

Well it's not the 'shit sandwich' but hodge isn't really steering the ship at 10. Folau being absent didn't help, I think at full strength if foley was unavailable we'd go 10. Beale 12. Hodge. It's a worthwhile exercise though because in that configuration he's still going to find himself at first receiver.

I think we need to see Hunt at the 15 this tour just to sure us up under the high ball. We look a little shaky without Folau's aerial acrobatics

All three take bow. Speight has looked great and I thought he would In a game like this. Then that ball from beale was perfect. Absolutely perfect. Then kerevi had heaps to do and he did it

I have noticed in pretty much all of the tests this year that the ball very seldomly gets to Speight despite him going inside looking for it or even ending up on the end of the backline on his opposite side. I gather from the posts that he is having more involvement this game. Is that a factor of the change of No 10?

He is shuffling the ball left and right reasonably ok but he isn’t a playmaker. The players outside him are generating the play at the moment.
