I was interested to see Brayden Schiller at the game yesterday hanging out with the Easts Supporters. Be interesting to see if he continues with league or makes a return to Union next year?
I think Easts (Tigers) will be about the place again this year.
They have a great front row with Van Nek, Schiller, Sanday and Richards and new quality players coming to the club to fill other gaps.
There coach is in his 2nd year and has the respect of the players and the committee.
They...
I have heard that some guys have been advised that they have made the City Squad and are going in for medical checks today. Have the Squads been released?
I have 3 thoughts about this
1. Brothers, Wests, GPS, Easts and maybe Souths are in the 2nd Grade finals. If you rest players where do you bring in the replacements from????
2. Winning form is great form. Loosing creates doubt.
3. Players want to play...:). imagine if a replacement...
Can't and won't disagree with the names you have provided.
I have nothing against these two players(in fact I have followed/admired both of them from GPS days), but James Tuttle and Gav Luka have had little time on the pitch this season as I mentioned above. They have both had injuries and...
I'm not going to name names but with team 1 and 2 named above there are players in both squads who have played very few games this year (if none at all). These are mainly due to injury or unavailability due to surgury and I also know that they are not the final sellected NRC sides.
But, with...
I have been out to quite a few of Easts Games this year (you could almost say I'm a supporter) and I hear the stories of the GPS Scrum and the Wests, Norths amd Uni forwards and how there forwaards are NRC material. Watching Easts dominate these teams scrums I have a bit of a chuckle to myself...
Just a few questions I would like discussed. There has been alot of discussion with regard to who should be picked in NRC and why?.
Should a player 28-30YO who has had another great year (but is not being considered for the Reds) be selected in a NRC team or a 20-22 YO who is showing promise...
Easts wil bounce back this week "you have heard it here first" against Sunnybank.
Firstly, they will be playing at home and that is always hard for the visiting team
They were missing their No 1 due to U/20's comitments and their 12/13 due to injury (Gordon/Hayes).
They will also have a...
I think one of the under-rated teams this year will be the Tigers. They have a solid front row with Kirwan Sanday, Sam Richards and Rhys Van Nek with solid/experienced support from the bench. They will also get Braydon Schiller back in the next 2-3 weeks. They have some massive 2nd rowers and...
