To be honest with you selections should depend on player performance on this upcoming tournament, not on last names of past players. If we go down that path then, we will not succeed over NZ team this year... just saying...only my opinion.
Great game today between Vic Schoolboys and NWSJRU U18. The Vics start off the strong with a couple of quick tries, and scoring 4 tries with one conversion in the first half. NSW are kept to nil. NSW come back strong second half scoring three tries. Vics were able to make a late surge to score...
Victorian Prop Alex Sa'aga notably will be someone to watch at up coming tournament. Very quick on his feet for a big fella. Very strong in scrum, also in carry stats and meters gained. His brother Fereti is a good player, but I'm gonna say Alex is better.
Some of our Vic boys who have come through the Gold program are at other franchises around Australia and throughout NZ. JP Sauni was in the baby All Blacks that won the World Championship in Georgia. He is also in the Auckland Blues Academy. We also have three boys Hurricanes Academy. 2 in ACT...
All I want to say is... everybody has counted out Vic schoolboys, of making any Aussie teams. I must remind you that they beat Queensland A last year by 26 points, people took notice..they just missed out making the final. I am sure they will impress yet again.
