I didnt get a chance to see the game against Southern, But I have been saying for a couple of weeks that there needs to be a change up front. If Cocca is still out then Gentle should be at 3 and Lewis should be at 1.
Hey Dave , I found this comment in the manly daily a concern (While Manly toughed out a victory in the wet conditions, Easts got on top of Manly’s usually rock solid scrum)
Last year the MMM's scrum was by far the best in the comp.
No Cocca last weekend was he injured ?? And has Lewis done...
First big test this weekend for the MMM's . looking forward to see what side is select in 1'st grade.
Does Lucas step straight back in at 9? Is Lewis over his injury and has Sigg done enough to be selected?
This weeks side posted on the MMM's web site, A different looking back line to last year with Vaevae and Treweek in seconds. Also I notice Lewis's name in seconds as well , he must be caring a injury?
The decision of Lucas to move on will be a bigger lose than people think. He was a stand out for the MMM's in 2014 and I don't think you can ask a young player to stand up to the week to week grind of the shute shield
LHP Lewis was a stand-out for both the Ray's and MMM's - he picked up the Best and Fairest award for the Marlins this year and can play THP as well. I have no doubt under the watchful eye of Damien Cummins you will see him being picked up by a S15 club.
I'm more concerned about the departure of 2 quality players from the MMM's team . Its only early and pre season hasn't started yet or has it?? Does the new coaching group have the same pulling power at attracting players to the MMM's as Phil Blake.
