This is true to a certain extent
They would be able to charge more for sponsorship and other things associated with each broadcast but on a broader level you're right. I have no doubt though that Stan Sport and Stan more broadly will eventually turn to an ad supported model (despite their best...
I suppose I'd be looking at them as completely separate comps - so if 1st Grade Premier is playing at 3pm, then so is 1st Grade Subbies (5th grade) in their comps.

I think this has more to do with the production company than the broadcaster. U20s was outsourced by 9/stan as I understand - shit weather probably didnt help
Or follow the lead of Shute Shield and have only 4 grades of QPR and prop up the subbies comp.
Sure - keep the players in the club house but have those grades play in the Subbies comp with promotion/ relegation or grading trials in pre season.
Love the thought but with all due respect to the regions they'd get absolutely bopped by the QPR teams in this format. Would say that there is likely enough talent (particularly in SEQ Country Regions) to field a competitive team but not without the support an established club environment...

OzTAM doesn't use reach for anything - they report on it, just like they report on a lot of things....
It's not cooked up by FTA channels... it comes from OzTAM who are independent from the networks using a representative sample and extrapolating that out to the entire population. https://oztam.com.au/TheOzTAMPanel.aspx
No one is hiding the decline of FTA TV - but sport continually bucks this trend.
The off field review process in my view is easily the best innovation in the professional game that I've seen for some time. For rugby-related red cards (I'm talking dangerous tackles/ clean outs here mostly as opposed to punching, stomping, eye-gouging etc etc) there is now absolutely zero...
Love the cynicism (truly, I do) but they're quoting researchers and media industry experts in the article saying that 10's position is untenable - maybe there is something behind NC shining a light on it but there is definitely a lot of smoke anyway. 4th behind the ABC last year and no light at...
