The supporters certainly support with a lot of passion in the Mountains. Something like this was certainly not unexpected from the age group. I hope the Lindfield boy is OK, and the trainer will be dealt with appropriately.

Kings 14As have also just completed an unbeaten season with a 50+ win over Newington. Lots of smiles, very positive group.

Mostly as finishers. Though the smallest guy selected is very highly skilled and a courageous tackler, it will be interesting to see who make the starting 15. My previous post was more about the lack of time and games these rep teams have together to make a team. (Hence the reliance on size)...
Same is happening with the Sydney U14s. They don't have the boys long enough to form a coordinated Team and get those unspoken combinations happening, so size is the easiest way to overcome that. They should have the NSW u20s playing week in week out as a team in the SS somehow.
The 14s only go to the d's this year at Kings. In Soccer it's to the f's plus a 13/14 development squad, so probably a slightly greater number of boys playing soccer. 80-90 at a guess. That leaves about 40-50 boys averaged across year groups playing badminton, volleyball (there are 2 15s teams...
