From my observation, whatever success DC gets is often due to his recruitment talent. He seems to always have one of the best rosters wherever he coaches. Guess that is a large part of being a good coach.
So we cut the number of NSW teams down to 2 , the standard needs to lift they say. We allocate control and responsibility to NSW Rugby as a further means of improving performance.
The result, the NSW teams finish last and second last. The 2nd tier players bugger off - ITM Cup, etc, anywhere but...
Love seeing all the parochialism and hypocricy - it least people care about these clubs.
Dont think Wicks were poo recently as a previous poster said - they are struggling this year no argument there.
BTW - the no kicking rule is actually in a document that players sign.
Ed Kennedy from Randwick has signed a 3 year contract to play for Scarletts in Wales. Ed is a lock about 23 yeard old and got called up to the Sydney Rays NRC squad last year. Another one deemed not good enough for a professional contract in Australia yet signed overseas.
Watched the Wicks play Norfs on the weekend. It was a fairly willing hit out with Norths winning 6 tries to 1 or thereabouts. Norths are looking very good and deserve to be one of the favourites again this year. Wicks had some injuries in the pack which will concern their coaches this close to...
