Risking wrath here but I view "that" TMO call differently. To me, in the couple of replays showed on Sky TV, the Australian player clearly ran a line designed to make contact with the All Black and he did so. The only reason he'd be doing this was to impede the tackle. I don't believe the tackle...
Many years ago, a poster on another list I subscribed to wrote a post he titled cry of the boeing. It described the many issues facing South African rugby and how little by little the parts of the whole machine were being stripped, broken or eroded, and eventually the whole would cease to...
We'll see what the trend is but unfortunately my intuition is to agree with you. I would far prefer a Super Rugby comp with four teams from SA concentrated on playing top quality opposition week in and week out. Diluting the quality and hoping that in the expanded pool of average players you'll...
ZAR has taken a pounding lately, it's sitting at over 15 to 1 USD.

The players in SA will be conscious that they could be making relative fortunes overseas on the exchange rate unless salaries in SA adjust. Combine that with the...
Congratulations to the kiwis. Sounds cliché but you were the better team even though I did think the Boks could have taken it with a but of luck. Matfield, what were you thinking calling that ball to yourself in the last ruck, isolated, standing still. Daft. Paarl isn't going to be pleased ...
Replying to a couple of points. If you had asked the question about Willie two years ago, no problem. He's always made errors but contributed more positives. At the moment though, something isn't working. I like team stability, so can understand his selection but he needs to play a blinder soon...
I think people are over generous to the springboks when they talk about our ability to slow ball down. I encourage you to watch some of the match again and see how often a Welsh tackler ends up on the wrong side of the ruck. Springbok disruption is mostly less subtle than that, our players don't...
Yeah thanks for that Dewald. I wasn't meaning to exclude saffers, just trying to get some conversation going from the neutrals or the kiwis

No.
Edit: No disrespect to Matfield who has been one of the greatest locks, but Lood is playing better rugby. (Except for the ball in one hand knock on)
Oh don't worry, I can tell you would never change your mind. Thankfully rugby is bigger than miserable bastards and all shapes sizes and styles are allowed and enjoyed. Be a happier person.

If that is the style of rugby that works for a team then it's not for you to impose your views on what is miserable or not.
Also, no one was crowing. Be a nicer person.

I understand the spirit of what you're trying to say but it's not logically consistent. Trying to catch any ball is deliberate but that doesn't make all knockons deliberate.
I wouldn't mind though it the laws were altered to make it an automatic penalty for any attempted intercept that goes...
