    CAS Rugby 2024

Not sure. Had been mentioned in the GPS thread, though a post the other day suggests Kings might now also be involved. https://www.greenandgoldrugby.com/community/threads/nsw-aagps-2024.19489/post-1393783

Assume Knox is holding their cards close until the Newington trial in a fortnight?

Indeed. Like all the posted lists of project 1sts/2nds for this year. That's all they are. Until rubber hits the road in preseason and trials games. Coaches will also communicate names of player returning from injury or who have grown bigger, faster or better to the selectors.

Did people even read the article "Identifying potential national players this early in the year allows us to closely track them across the school, association, and club seasons." While the final squad won’t be confirmed until later this year, Fraser and his coaching staff will closely monitor...

With GPS currently playing 10, jt wouldn't make a difference on the number of games against GPS teams, just mean less games against ISA.

Joker isn't a mod afaik, indeed copped a ban last year himself.. and don't believe he's posted since last year. Like most forums suspect the mods don't read every post and only intervene when posts are being reported. Maybe those reading the CAS forum have thicker skins. The recent deletions...

Read the last few pages. Plenty of guesses. That's all it is at this time of the year.

I'd go the other way. Play full GPS / CAS / ISA comps in Term 2.. that way you can select teams for rep honours. Hard to do that fairly if the schools aren't playing each other. Then you have a reseeded combined compa, or some form of knockout comp in Term 3.

Barker, Cranbrook, Newington, Oakhill a good start for a co-ed girls comp. Also think a few Catholic co-eds like St Gregory's

More than a few posts have been deleted over the last few days.. and if you look back a few more posters have gained the Banned tag. So I think it's a warning to new readers of the forum to read the rules, and leave the schoolboy games to other places.

    To summarise the pre-season. Obviously in the main season everyone plays each other once. Aloysius - Syd Grammar, Riverview, Kinross, St.PiusX (A), St.Gregorys Barker - Riverview (A), Kinross, St.Gregorys (A), St.Stanislaus, St.Pats Cranbrook - St.PiusX (A), St.Pats, St.Augustines, Kinross (A)...

Thanks to the ISA thread, pre-season and Henry Plume schedule now listed on the CAS website for all schools (well for 1/2s) http://www.cas.nsw.edu.au/winter-sports/rugby/results/

Last post was 26-Oct. Suspect he will resurface when the season begins. Given his previous interactions with mods probably for the best he has the off-season off. Albeit still interested in his history of GPS v CAS games that he was trying to collate along with other stats.

Also consider what's best for the kid/ rugby as a whole. Stay playing rugby in a league dominated area as the best player, or board in the big smoke where you can get far more competitive games and more and better training. You'll have plenty of people suggesting to the kids parents that they...
