Get on board. We’ve locked in one of SURU’s best referees for a chat in the near future. https://open.spotify.com/show/0R6kngpl9mHPEOns3FqzxF?si=AXu6u2h9T22hRSE4OyiHVw

For what it’s worth, it was a great day from my perspective with good quality rugby. But I can guarantee a few of the City players were definitely giving it to the Tahs player. Particularly when the Tahs fluffed the in goal force of the ball and then the following drop out. Having said that, it...

All kudos to the 1st Grade finalists, but I think some kudos needs to go to Griffith, Deni, Reddies and Steamers. In some ways it’s these clubs that form the backbone of the competition. Griffith held together 3 men’s grades all year and a women’s team and have made finals in 3 grades. Only...

However, to be clear - personally I think clubs should be able to pay players. It would at least give us a chance to compete with the other codes locally. I think it’s anachronistic to pretend we are an amateur comp when every other Union I know of makes payments to players. Just embrace the...

What's our thoughts on a fully vaxxed requirement as a Return to Play protocol. I suspect sporting insurers are going to make it a requirement of participation. How many players and ancillary staff do you think we may lose if this is the case?

Thanks for keeping this forum ticking over Sam, especially with the spate of posters threatening never to post a message again..... I thought SIRU did a grand job of managing the comp this year, hats off to Jack and the board - they hung in there as long as they could. As for playing Wagga City...

Alburys last home game of the year against Wagga City, will be for double points to make up for the lost game.

Wrong. The first Draw out had Albury away or Byes for the first 5 weeks, our first home game wasn't until the middle of May. Our approach was that it meant our second half of the Draw would be largely at home, and give us the opportunity for some team building in the early part of the draw...

The option is basically have 4 First Grade byes (because of Deniliquin and Hay in 2nd Grade) or Play up-to 4 "make-up" matches in First Grade. Those extra games would see First, Second and Womens teams split on occasion - and avoiding that was the absolute priority for Clubs - hence the 4 byes...
