    CAS Rugby 2015

Jason McDonald is the Yr 12 boy who plays 10 in Waverley's 2nd XV. Agreed on form he deserved a run in 2015 1st XV. I believe Jordan is best suited to 9 and I reckon he'd represent at higher honours if given specific Half Back coaching. I'd like to see him and a few others in a 7's program over...

Agree with those comments Lenny & rugbyking2. Imagine if Waverley ....... could consistently win their own scrum feeds and Lineout throws...wow ..... Imagine if they could attack the blind side via 8,6,9,11 occasionally with 15 chiming in..........imagine if the outside backs could tackle...

Congrats to Cranbrook on their much deserved win. Waverley were dreadful. The team needs some changes and looks like the Coaches do also. Either some players don't support the Coaches game plan(s) OR the Coaches can't get their message across effectively to certain individuals. Same bad habits...

Which Clubs are the Class of 2014 going to?

I believe Declan Moore (NSW Schools 2nd XV 2014) also made his Shute Shield 1st Grade debut recently. He debuted off the bench and a week later started in the Sydney Uni 1st Grade run on side. Great achievement from this dedicated young guy. He has worked really hard on his Rugby and deserves...

Agreed. Waves ball security really needs to improve so they can string more phases together and build pressure on teams. If they can be more patient in attack....they will wear teams down. Less kicking, keep the ball in hand and keep moving the defense around. When they moved the ball wide thru...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

Alec Sheldon is a real talent and he played strongly in the GPS Blue v GPS White game last year. He handles 10 & 12 very well.

    CAS Rugby 2015

Injuries seem to have disrupted selectors plans particularly in Backlines selected for CAS 1s and 2's.But hard to understand how Smirnotis made it given form shown this year. Poor hands, poor defense, low ball retention. Waverley winger Yoannides kept coming in off his wing on Saturday to make...

    CAS Rugby 2015

Have to agree with you Sonny Dill re: Waverley's discipline...although the 10 is not the main offender. Waverley's 6 gives away far too many penalties and then invariably gets caught up sledging the opposition. Then the 11 and 13 join in and the finger pointing and the push and shoves develop...

As will Grandparents.Consider this....if your Yr 12 son or grandson is overlooked for the 1st XV next year for a younger player ...will you be happy ? I doubt it. Many believe Waverley's Coaches didn't pick the best 1st VX last year....or in 2013.Some of the younger players did well last year ...

    Australian Schoolboys 2014

I was involved in getting T.Rudolf into TSC ...so I won't be bagging Scots. TSC has been fantastic for Toby ...as he has also been for TSC. Having coached him in Club & Reps for years I've seen his skills and high work rate many times. He is certainly a guy who consistently plays "big" in tough...

    Australian Schoolboys 2014

Brian Westlake & IS......agree with your comments about the need for players to do the grunt work...clean out, rucking, mauling, offensive defense and running directly at the opposition. Exactly why Rudolf & other NSW forwards should have been selected.Aust didn't win many collisions or...

    Australian Schoolboys 2014

Toby Rudolf should have been picked in Aust Schools team back in July. He deserved selection through his enormous work rate, set piece skills and sheer will to win ...which was on show in all NSW 1's game at the Nationals. I didn't see another 2nd Rower come near him. He also plays 8 and 6...
