He's an incredible runner, big fast, breaking tackles and setting up supports etc. With all the video coaching these days you'd have to think he is playing exactly where he has been told to - where he does enormous damage to opponents. Can't be critical of him for that. And he hits like a...
So then "capsized by a big red iceberg" is a bit of a mixed metaphor. And since it was in fact stopped by Barker, it is not unstoppable, and therefore not a juggernaut. So i guess the Waves might not break on the juggernaut but roll to a famous victory.
Waverley at full strength will get enough ball to score more points than Knox are capable of. Two of the Knox tries against Barker came when Barker's best player (8) was in the bin
Reckon the lineout will be a key factor in WvK. Against B the W lineout was totally dominated. K liked to kick out of their 1/4 quite a bit, the K10 was a good kicker, but B mostly got the ball back. If K (with Frost etc) can dominate the W lineout like B did, then K are in with a good chance...
Wondering how much the new format this year helped Barker - ie in division 2 and so did not have to play the top GPS schools. Waverley had some injuries so were depleted, and some of the Knox stars, although giving it everything, looked they had a lot of miles on the clock... So Barker have been...
Ok, how about this one - B v W at Barker in 2013. Barker heavy favourites with a stunningly fast back 3. W ahead as time expired but their 9 deliberately threw the ball out. Penalty to Barker, length of the field try, home crowd goes wild....
Strongly disagree. Barker executed a very simple gameplan. The poor Waverley lineout and failure to adjust tactics played into their hands and made for a tough committed game from both sets of forwards as they bashed each other all day.
Over the years I've seen many, many more enjoyable games...
Outstanding goal line defence from Waverley. Reckon Barker had 75% of the ball. 1 missed conversion by Waverley and 1 missed penalty from Barker. Great game plan and very gutsy execution by Barker to frustrate a team that on paper looked a lot stronger (compare their results v St Joseph's)...
The GPS opened themselves up to a bunch of games against CAS schools this year. That seems pretty open and collaborative. Joeys especially have been sending teams all over Sydney to help everyone get a game....
