Plenty of good young players coming through, don’t think they’ll miss Casey or some of the others that have left, Will Casey see much first grade behind ngauamo?
Whiteside and Fox definitely to see a lot of premier grade, Sam Samu already did really well last year as well in a sub par team. Fourie and Dobbins might not see as much time with Fasseler and farrell at both clubs. Alex Smit to have a big year for west’s, who was the premier grade 7 at west’s ?
I think he is an nudgee old boy isn’t he? Was he there during the Dammers period? Hard to see brothers guys moving across the river though, but would be a decent pick up for the maggies if it’s true
Good point! Credit to Souths if they wrap up both minor premierships! If I’m not mistaken they were wooden spooners in 2017 Colts 1? Credit to the coaching staff who have overhauled that program to make it one of the best in Brisbane! The more teams competing each year, the stronger the comp is!
I think he is going to SD on a Waratahs contract, so it’s not really a question of loyalty if it’s to do with Contract. Only people to blame are the Reds for not giving him reason to stay
The Souths brothers game will be an absolute cracker this weekend! Some good head to heads will be fun to watch, the battle of the 10’s (cross and leerenvelt), wingers (Lea And Carrol, 2nd rowers (McDonald and stocker) and the front row, particularly the 2 hookers
I would say the Sunnybank backs looks better from what I saw, especially the 15 and Samu who was back from premier grade! But the Souths forwards dominated the scrums and contact area, especially the front row
They seem to be a lot fitter now then start if the season, their forwards outmuscled and outplayed Sunnybank on the weekend from what I heard, and were missing Lea I think
