    2015 HSBC Hong Kong 7's

Been a long time since I've been here and don't want to break any rules but I have a 3 Day Hong Kong Sevens Ticket available as I can no longer make it over. Please contact me if anyone wants to purchase it for face value.

    Wine thread

I feel guilty for posting this but some of you have been to events Ive hosted in the past and I dont plan on making cash out of it so hopefully it is considered a community service announcement rather than an advertisement. I'm hosting a fun and relaxed Super 15 Tasting on thursday night...

Saru & Hoskins show some real Balls and dosh Sanzar!

Thanks Blue. But when I said Old School I meant those that hadnt moved on and seen there is a world outside Africa. There are some in Australia who would like to go back to having a club comp, two state games and then a couple of international games each year. We are just lucky we don't have...

Saru & Hoskins show some real Balls and dosh Sanzar!

What you have to remember is that PB is old school South African and they like to play with themselves. Whoops i meant by themselves. I think many Saffas would say that in an ideal world they would play their own domestic competitions and then have a big inbound tour every 2 years where...

Gits and Drew getting ready to face the Boks...by playing 3rd div subbies.

If Epping miss out on the finals they will be pretty pissed off but Balmain were ahead of them on the ladder and teams rarely lose on their own ladies day. Although I see that happened to Knox in 1st division today. Obviously no injuries for them and they had a win so it will get good press...

    Rugby Twitters

Went to the one on William St on Tuesday night. Had been on the cans (well Shaw and Smith wines) from 11.30 am so by time I got there was well and truely primed. Top stuff. Eventually made it home after a few more beers and had to cook myself a steak sandwich. Good day.

    Wallabies v Springboks, Brisbane.

As I just mentioned on another post there was footage of Januarie doing the same thing to Mortlock a couple of years ago. It is an incredibly dodgy and dirty act that has to be stamped out of the game. There is no reluctant appreciation here unfortunately Lee. He lost that when he abused a...

    Cooper gets 2wks

This by Burger really got my blood boiling. While it wasnt a gouge, raking your fingers across someones face is a dirty thing to do. There was footage of Januarie doing the same thing in that Wallaby Gold Match shown on Foxtel during the week which got Mortlock fired up and I cant believe that...

    LOCKED: Time to Sack Deans?

The reds did it in the Super 14 and I have seen a number of penalties for it in a number of games. What teams have to remember is that eventually one of them has to go in to attempt to get to the ball carrier so that he is obstructed. Letting them run past you then tackling them from behind...

    LOCKED: Time to Sack Deans?

Good point Gnostic. Mumm is excellent at spoiling opposition mauls and it really annoys me when a defending player is told to get out of a maul for being offside despite having been involved and bound from the outset.

    Cooper gets 2wks

RaiseS an interesting and in my view very difficult question as to what penalties should be based on. I personally think it should be on games in the competition the offending act occured or higher but realise it is a very difficult thing to put into practice.

Has certainly read the TPN tackling textbook. Dive at their knees. A technical ref might penalise them for not using arms.

    Brumbies 2011

Clearly more of an attacking player based on the "highlights" of his defence.

    Cooper gets 2wks

Deans must feel a little like David Gallop this morning. Cooper has serious off field trouble, puts it behind him and performs extremely well during the S14, steps up and is one of our best in the June tests, has his off field trouble cleared up, plays in a much improved team performance...

    Wallabies v Springboks, Brisbane.

What most impressed me last night was as Lee Grant said, the vibe of the team. I had not been confident all week but when I saw Bennnnn Robinson almost laughing with excitement after the anthems I was pretty sure we were going to get up. For those at the ground how did the anthem rate? I...
