Well done to the Kings VIII, outstanding effort today, determined to get the win! I was impressed with TSS, they gave it their all against a really well disciplined Kings crew. Bloody thrilled to see the 'View VIII ahead of a strong Joeys crew and get onto the podium today, the 2nd VIII rowed...

Good question LD, I think the View year 10 1st VIII won their race on the Nepean, don't know a lot about the race, wasn't there and I know they had a bad start at the HOTR, steering into the buoys. How much all of that counts for... don't know... Could be a current parent that could contribute...

G'day Professor, I would argue that Riverview will be competitive for the foreseeable future, they were again the most successful shed (CD Taylor shield, for what its worth?), and had the most 1/2 finishes at HOTR, they will continue to build their program, with a top MIC rowing and coaches. I...

Well done to the crew, the boys rowed/coxed very well.

I still believe the Shore grading was out in their IVs. Two weeks ago or so I pointed out the Shore 4th IV was 16 seconds faster than their 3rd IV, it won in a time 16 seconds (over 4 boat lengths) faster than Shore's 3rd IV and over 2 seconds faster than Shore's 2nd IV. Not sure how this...

Speaking with an OR mate of mine who has a son in the 'View year 10 1st VIII and apparently they had a rough start yesterday, with a new coxswain steering them into the right lane buoys, which took a bit of sorting out. Not saying they would have won, but they should have been a little faster...

G'day FCD Fair point, the Stoke of the TKS VIII today I am referring to is an exceptional rower imo, granted, not judging by solely by todays results, which were very respectable. However, looking at the last couple of seasons, his is sculling results in other regattas have been brilliant for...

And Kings I would add Chair, their Year 10 VIII rowing was impressive. I believe it will be the 3 schools in blue and white battling it out once again in the GPS Crews over the next 2024/2025 season. Well done to all who rowed today, I know its a massive effort from boys training, parents...

Well done to SJC for taking out the 1st VIII with a 5.52, that's quick in anyone's language! Well done to the Riverview shed, mostly 1/2 podiums all day. Huge effort from the 1st and 2nd IVs, 3rd VIII, Year 10 3rd and 4th VIIIs, to win their races today. I feel for the Riverview 4th IV that...

Good luck to all the crews competing tomorrow. For the year 12s enjoy your final HOTR, make it count, block everything out, you have trained for this. You will always remember the race and of course, there is plenty to look forward to after March 16. I know 'View will do well, bring as much...

Did the Riverview year 10 1st Jnr VIII win it's race on the Nepean the other day? I know we can't take a great deal from river racing, just interested to know.

No worries G&R, I mean us talking/speculating between the last fully attended 2k regatta and HOTR next week.

Nothing much our Blue/Pink eyed mate, just the usual bitching.... by me, boasting, also me, and the occasional humorous comment from others. Boys from Hunters Hill have a competitive VIII this year, as I am sure you are aware and this is lag chat until the 16th.

I had an idea that Jack cracked the 6 min, but not 100% sure now. I'll ask when I next speak with Walter.
