^^^^ It's because he's really struggled to turn it on physically. I think primarily due to some serious injuries. He's never returned to 2014 form, was fairly average even in 2015.

Because he sacrifices any chance of having a proper international career. Is living/playing in Aus so much better than living in Europe that you would sacrifice the chance at an international career? I doubt it.
