As a neutral hoping for an Aussie victory I hope Sio performs a little better at scrumtime today.
He was extremely lucky not to be pinged more against Wales & struggled against Francis who isn't the best scrummaging tighthead around. England will certainly be a step up in that regard.
England...
Usual stuff from Wales, white line fever whenever we got close enough to score.
At least some intent to play & attack but we're not intelligent enough to pick the correct time to attack. Pushed too many 50/50 passes hence the high error count.
Aus by far the more streetwise side.
We played dumb...
From a Welsh perspective I'm a little concerned about what the Wallabies could do to this side. But also pleased that Gatland has finally gone with a 2nd playmaker at 12 in Owen Williams. The problem is Williams is a decent 10 but by no means a solid defender, your Fijian boys in the centre will...
Itoje is a class young player & I'm sure will make an impact. Both Kruis & AWJ were poor last week but to me it wasn't a coincidence that the Lions scrum started to creak more after AWJ was replaced when the score was 13-8.
Probably one of the reasons he's been retained this week.
Personally I'd...
I can understand the Warburton logic - the kiwi's totally bossed the breakdown last week.
AWJ hasn't played well all tour & still doesn't look 100% to me.
I've been impressed with Henderson & Lawes as a combo at 2nd row.

You might get him back with a super franchise sometime.
The Scarlets did something similar with a young unknown Kiwi kid 2 seasons back - Michael Collins, he's starting at 15 for the Blues these days.

Nice to see the current crop of Welsh lads living up to the seniors standards and starting early with last minute defeats to Australia
Seriously though, wasn't particularly impressed by either side. This Welsh batch of U20's has a few good prospects (Ian Botham's grandson @8 has potential but...
Excited the tour is finally here, got my sky sports subscription back on (robbing bast***s)& alarm clock at the ready.
Not holding my breath for a series win but it should still be a wonderful occasion. We need to cherish these tours as long as we can.
The schedule is bonkers though, seriously...
Welsh test match players have been coached to play with the handbrake slightly on for some time. We have & always will have a huge mental block when facing the Blacks & Australia. SA not quite so much as I think we've always thought if we could match them physically we could win. Problem there...
We never thought we had a chance in NZ, so shackles off & the team just played without pressure.
Home again this autumn & the public/media on their backs.
We always start very slowly, probably due to the over vigorous training camps. Australia knew that & blew the Welsh side away in the most...
