Let's just note a few things 1. Green left Churchie with no financial assistance from BGS after being taunted by grade 12 boys at Churchie when he took a grade 12's place in the 1st XI. 2. BGS give under 10 trustee scholarships and in past years have received 40+ OP1s. Nonetheless, looking at...

On the topic of Rugby's swap from term 2 to term 3, do people really think it has been that much of a success? From what I've seen, there have been some talented soccer players who have been able to play both rugby and their preferred sport, but unfortunately many boys still are being pulled...

BBC need to get their act together with their 1st XV team's culture. This obviously didn't have an impact on the outcome of the game, but for a team to be giving the ball to second rowers and props off the bench to take conversions even before half time makes a mockery of the GPS 1st XV...

BGS will be taking on Downlands up the ranges. Hopefully Samoan #8 will be lining up in the Cambridge Blue 1st XV trial jersey. Expect to see some big hits from the man himself if anyone goes up to the garden city.

Cam Halliday has been on fire lately. His performances in the last few trials have been nothing short of outstanding. Very good agility and can read gaps in the field very well. I've heard that he's being coached personally by BGS old boy and Reds squad member Sam Greene down at Brothers rugby...

I was listening into the referee audio and the time on the scoreboard wasn't the official time he was using. He told the players that it the time on the scoreboard was wrong. Not too sure that this was the mercy rule.

Is it always the best thing to do to enforce the mercy rule? It seems like almost a more demoralizing option than the extra 10 or 15 points that would be put on, had the game continued. Watching the Churchie - BGS game now, but it seems like it would be even more of a slap in the face for the...

Is Churchie still live streaming their games? Keen to have a watch of this team. Does anyone know where the link is?

I'm sure that his former Grammar team mates will make a big statement about his move to GT if he runs on Internationals tomorrow...

Lakehm only played two years in 1st XV... But yes, this is Lakehm's final year.

BGS showed how to throw away a game of rugby today. While not looking imposing on attack, silly errors and missed opportunities underpinned the second half. BGS were 3 down with a minute to go, edging up on the try line, when a grubber gone wrong(you'd hope) landed into the hands of the GT...

Completely agree - some great rugby is played in the lower divisions.

Really? I've seen a few games from him, in an under-performing GT under 15 outfit, he hasn't seemed to be that much of a star... Excuse my lack of knowledge on GT's rugby players, but what would the alternative be in the under 16s?

Nothing to base this speculation off. Missing Chance McKenna too. Samoan Number 8 is just a little too keen. Davies won't play firsts, especially not at prop - unless he gains a couple dozen kilos over the off season. Only expect Forsyth, Halliday and McKenna to make it. Matt Forsyth scored a...
