    Round 10 : Reds v Blues

As with last week, would prefer the Riccitelli/Vikena hooker combination ahead of Eklund because of his outrageously sus lineout throwing. Otherwise big forwards are big and will, hopefully, continue operating like a test pack. Though idk what will happen if Plummer is injured. Maybe Cotter...

Official matchday prediction: Let the kid in blue represent the Auckland Blues forwards. Let the kid in red represent the hopes and dreams of the Queensland Reds and their supporters.

Round 9: Force vs Crusaders: HBF Park, Perth: Saturday 20th April

He's a provincial level - maybe even club level - journeyman signed on a short term contract as injury cover for their starter Fergus Burke. Their alternatives are a 23 year old Rivez Reihana, who hasn't proven much better, or a 20 year old Taha Kemara, who has wraps. At this point they might...

Round 9: Force vs Crusaders: HBF Park, Perth: Saturday 20th April

Bit of whiplash coming from the penthouse down to the sub-basement for this battle of the battlers. Nevertheless. Hoping the Force properly accost the 1-6 Crusaders. I want to believe.

Rd 9: Auckland Blues v ACT Brumbies, Sat, April 20 2024

Many such cases. Eklund's lineout throwing is far too much of a liability and Christie looks like the third choice HB now. EDIT: Good choice to just end the game. Nothing material to be gained from playing on.

For anyone who doesn't know, this is the Onehunga Night Train in action; just throw big cnts at the opposition until they cease and desist. It trounced Richie Mo'unga at 1st XV level and buried the 1-6 Crusaders earlier this year. Also bullied the Force, but that was just sad. Would've been...

Rd 9: Auckland Blues v ACT Brumbies, Sat, April 20 2024

So it's gonna be a cripple fight of popgun kicks vs. disastrous lineout? Rugby par excellente. EDIT: Looks like the cripple fight will be in the rain too. Though may not necessarily be cold.

Good to see Darry returning and would've preferred Vikena on the bench ahead of Eklund. I thought Evans did alright at fullback, aside from a silly unforced knock-on, and his kicks were the only ones delivering good consistent exits. Could be a potential big weakness.
