What went on at the Brothers v Norths game? At half time Norths were up something like 26-0. Were Brothers resting players? How did they come back to score 42 points straight in the 2nd half?

Nothing can defend against amazing free running combinations of players who know what is going to happen next before it does - other than extremely solid and stiff patterns of defence which effectively close players out of their space or reduce the space they were operating in and then those same patterns are applied in grinding repeated phases from which a composed side accumulates points and then returns the favours of the first half. Do things right in succession and gaps will open up. Half time happened to be the tipping point.

Yeah I was out a Shaw Rd on the weekend. Norths were great in the first half and will be very disappointed with the effort they put in the second half. Doug Rayment was fantastic in the first 20min before he went off, scored two tries. Veresa Mataitini also caused all sorts of issues with the Brothers defence. They shut him out of the match for most of the second half.
Brothers are quality, they just played smart rugby in the second half. They controlled pretty much everything in the game after the break.
Good crowd out at Shaw Rd though. Norths doing a great job with their family day.

2 huge results for Bond this last 2 weeks

Mitch Third, 10 for Bond is having a huge impact in their last two games after been off with a knee injure since pre season also kicking the penalty to win the game against East on the weekend, their back line looking very sharp & not at full strength according to one official who also thinks Stewart has moved on from Bond as both 10 & 15 are now well covered, personal I think they could've done with him at 12.

I think it would be fair to say Norths v Brothers was a game of two halves... Whilst Brothers did turn up for the second half, where the heck did Norths defense go, it almost looked like they wanted to shut the game down but in doing so completely failed to defend out wide or scramble when their line got broken.

Completely off topic and clearly bored at work. But personally I would love to see the return of the Caxton Cup after the half way point of the season. It was QPR North (Norths, GPS, Brothers, UQ, Wests. One too many teams but thats what i would do) vs QPR South (Souths, Sunnybank, Easts and Bond). Good chance to reward players for their efforts. My rule would be no super rugby players or reds contracted players allowed to play.
My teams would be:

QPR North (Norths, GPS, Brothers, Wests, UQ)
1. Tom Moloney (Brothers)
2. Maile Ngauamo (GPS)
3. Fred Burke (GPS)
4. Dan Gorman (GPS)
5. Brad Kapa (Brothers)
6. Jerry Lynch (Wests)
7. Pat Morrey (UQ)
8. Mitch King (GPS)
9. Liam Dillon (Wests)
10. Davis Tavita (GPS)
11. Jordan Luke (Norths)
12. Paddy James (Brothers)
13. Hunter Paisami (Wests)
14. Veresa Mataitini (Norths)
15. Lawson Creighton (Brothers
RESERVES
16. Matt Faessler (Brothers)
17. Misioka Timoteo (Wests)
18. SJ Tamala (UQ)
19. Michael Richards (GPS)
20. Connor Anderson (Wests)
21. Rueben Wall (Brothers)
22. Isaac Henry (Wests)
23. Connor Chittenden (Norths)

QRP South (Souths, Sunnybank, Easts, Bond)
1. Carter Ozanne (Easts)
2. Sean Farrell (Souths)
3. David Feao (Sunnybank)
4. Jale Vakaloloma (Easts)
5. Filimoni Seruvatu (Easts)
6. Tom Milosevic (Easts)
7. Joel Brown (Sunnybank)
8. Dillon Wihongi (Sunnybank)
9. Harry Nucifora (Bond)
10. Jake Strachan (Souths)
11. Hayden Seargant (Sunnybank)
12. Matt Gordon (Easts)
13. Landon Hayes (Easts)
14. Emori Waqavulagi (Souths)
15. Joey Fittock (Bond)
RESERVES
16. Nick Turner (Bond)
17. Rhys Van Nek (Easts)
18. Jake Simeon (Souths)
19. Seru Eru (Easts)
20. Harley Fox (Souths)
21. Eli Pilz (Easts)
22. Mitch Third (Bond)
23. Jack Frampton (Easts)/Liam McNamara (Sunnybank)

Would be a cracker of a game

Tipping for Round 14 is HERE

Hopefully we do better than last week, when most of us only picked 1/4.

Looking forward to putting aside the politics of RA and watching some great club rugby this weekend. I haven't seen any teams yet but I am hoping that all non-wallaby reds and the u20 players are all back on the paddock. (mind you u20 players probably deserve a bit of a rest after a tough couple of weeks)

Unfortunately not this week. Though Jeeps have Kurindrani back, from Japan?

What's ahead in the final 4 rounds? Who can hold it together to achieve a finals spot with an opportunity to hold the hospitals cup aloft?

After round 14 it looks like this:

Club: P; W; Pts; Rnd 15; 16; 17; 18
Bros(Br): 13; 12; 53; Bye; U; G; E;
GPS(G): 12; 9; 41; N; Sn; Br; U;
Uni(U): 13; 7; 31; Sn; Br; Bye; G;
Souths(S): 13; 7; 30; Bon; Bye; W; N;
Wests(W): 13; 5; 28 (incl 8 BP); E; Bon; S; Bye;
Easts(E): 12; 6; 27; W; N; Sn; Br;
Bond(Bon): 12; 5; 25; S; W; N; Sn

Looks like 9 wins/40+ points will be enough to secure 4th spot.

If we say Bros & GPS are in the finals - that leaves 5 teams in contention for the 3rd & 4th spots.

Any loss now will more than likely be fatal for these 5 teams.
