RWC 2019 Week 1 Other Games match thread

Dismal Pillock

1st 5 Tamura, despite seeming to have a number of tickets on himself, was dogcrap. Overly methodical and undynamic. Ponderous, shitty up-and-unders and, even though he takes about 5 minutes to go through his wanky, showy, penalty-taking rigmarole, doesnt seem like a natural kicker and fluffs it half the time. Deservedly hooked at 60 mins. JJ might be vaguely shitting himself if he's looking at upsetting Scroteland

Well that was entertaining , bit too much kicking away but you get that . Russians to prepare for next World Cup by running up hills with nostrils taped up or something taped closed anyway

That was fun. If Russia could have finished some of those breaks they would have been right in that at the end.

yeah Russkis look knackered now.
Yeah was thinking the same thing. He hits hard.

Surprised at Russia's solid skills and decision making. Looks like Japan, along with us, underestimated them and also perhaps forgot one of life's tenets: never, ever, ever get in a fight with a Russian.
Russian 7 plays in English premiership and best player - Russia played very well considering most of their players are amateurs

Turinui was offering an interesting perspective on the France v Argentina match today, in that it's the most important match of the day as for the loser 4 years of RWC planning is effectively over, on the first day of the tournament. Unless they can come out and beat England of course.

These French are something else. The youngster Dupont is all class and what Australia would to do have Ntamack. It doesn’t look like it should work but it does. Allez Les Bleus. Wonder how long they can keep it up.
