I would love to see Akira Ioane actually play to his potential, and earn a spot in the ABs because he is really fit etc ,and gets rid of his lazy streak. I not really a Blues man, but as I have always said if he worked his arse off, got real fit and motivated he could be world class!

And he hasn't been selected for round one.

Its not terribly hard to empathise with a man too lazy to be a test number 8.

By all accounts Akira is in good nick and played well in preseason.

However Sotutu also played well in preseason and is some talent himself.

MacDonald has made a point about how last year they over-played too many of the same players.

Pleased to see a different approach this year with the whole squad looking to be utilised.

I want to see any (or all) of Harrison, Lucas, Lolesio or Deegan have a strong season to give Rennie an option at 10 that isnt a fill-in from another position (i.e. Beale or To'omua).
