It is always hard to watch AICES at the champs. :( . In the u16 AICES squad is a big guy by the name of Nathan Pickering(number 19) - he is without a doubt one of the best scrummagers running around - also a good ball runner and lifter. But in part of a losing team will not get noticed. He really pushed around both the CCC and CHS scrums when he came on. Watch him tomorrow.

Just got back from the CCC v ISA trial. ISA won 4 tries to 3 tries.

CCC were a shadow of the team that came out of their camp; both centres were missing, their number 9 had to play wing, reserve half back play half, reserve 5/8 to 5/8, 5/8 to inside centre, winger to outside centre.

While they were competitive unless they go back to their original team, they will go nowhere in the State Titles.

Watched him today and based on other talent around he's got nothing.

He is a big lad but struggles for fitness... If he was fit he would launch anyone in a lineout and yes - could be a devasting player.. AICES struggled today with little on the reserves bench and needed to be more patient.. The skill is definatley there however the execution was too inconsistent.

Some recent posts referring to scholarship, if even in part - and others responding to them, if even in part, have been transferred to the scholarship thread wherein those folks most interested in the subject can have a debate without hijacking a thread.

By the way the results of the Opens trials between ISA and CHS plus other Opens games, should be discussed in the NSW Schools thread.

he played second row today. he didn't play tight head. that is his position. Due to the fact that both AICES second rowers are out. Your prob right though - there are awesome players out there.

While I believe you that he plays prop; he doesn't come across as one. He is about 6' 4", he would need to get on his knees so the hooker can bind. I agree with cc, needs to work on his fitness & mobility. If he does he could make a dangerous backrower.

Could not agree with you more!!! Those two centres Morgan and Seana definitely make a huge difference.

Does anybody know what happened to them and why they didnt play? I noticed Morgan was also missing from the Sydney Uni team at last weeks State Championship. Is he injured?

Newbie.

Can't be sure but my young bloke believes he was selected in the NSW U16's State of Origin last Wednesday night.
