It is yet to be mentioned however on Grand Final evening during halftime Michael Chieka and the Waratahs will induct 15 living legends into the first ever Waratahs Hall of Fame.

The inductees include individuals who have previously donned the Sky Blue jersey and have showed the passion to represent the state of NSW over a number of years. Inductees include the likes of Simon Poidevin, Mark Ella, Glen Ella and our very own Tom Carter are some of the individuals to be presented on Saturday evening.

On one of the biggest stages of Rugby this is a great initiative by the Waratahs. Michael Chieka and the board are really bringing back the passion to NSW. If the Rugby Gods are looking over us against the Saders it will be a great way to cap of a wonderful 2014 season.

Tom Carter to be acknowledged as a Waratahs legend

Immediately prior to the kick-off of the Super Rugby Grand Final between the Waratahs and Crusaders this Saturday at ANZ Stadium, a selection of Waratah legends will be acknowledged, including our very own SUFC great, Tom Carter.
Tom debuted for the Waratahs in 2004, retiring ten seasons later at the end of 2013. In that time Tom made a significant contribution to rugby in NSW and played an impressive total of 84 caps.
In recognition of his incredible career, Tom will join a number of other Waratahs legends in a walk around the oval. He will then join the Guard of Honour to lead the boys out for their big Grand Final.
Congratulations Tom, we will be cheering for you!

No disrespect to Tom Carter, who was a great Waratah and a good super rugby player, but I wouldn't really put him in legend status.

Not trying to knock the guy at all. He was a great team man, but legends are your Burke's, Waugh's, Poidevin's, etc. guys that are exceptional, above average talents.

Maybe those guys are legends at test match level.
