^^^ Heard a story that Boidin may be turning out for the Vikings.

Source is not usually accurate, so make what you will of that.

^^^^ If there is such a beast, it would surely be an Under 20 competition to dovetail into other structures on The Pathway.

Rams (when it was the club's) pushed for it and women's comps, we also talked to sydney West in the jgc about rebranding so we had comprehensive pathways at all levels. Won't happen until at least 2016 I reckon if things work well

A bit more info has been filtered through. If it happens it will definitely be u21 and at this stage will be played among the Sydney teams

Just as an aside - across the ditch the ITM Cup is in healthy surplus:

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/rugby/news/article.cfm?c_id=80&objectid=11305564

Provincial rugby is in solid financial health, the latest audit of the 14 ITM Cup unions shows.

The unions achieved a combined annual surplus of around $3.2 million, up from $500,000 the previous year and the largest collective surplus recorded, according to the third edition of the Deloitte Sports Review "State of the Unions" report released today.

etc etc

Gonna be some interesting clashes between sydney stars and perth spirit and country eagles and brisbane.

A little concerning that the Stars and Spirit were allowed a jersey which is basically identical to the naked eye.

Surely forcing Stars who don't have along state association to draw to, to merely reverse colours would have been better for all.

Apparently one team will play in their training jersey when there is a clash (so half the games :D).

I understand why the QLD teams chose the colours they did but I wish they had of gone Gold and Red for City and Blue and Red for country, taking a colour from the traditional strip and pairing it with the state colour, would've meant less clashes.

I don't see any issues with QLD Country but jeez Brisbane and NSW Country look similar.

Another pic, altogether with the trophy: (instagrammed)

The trophy looks like an old skool telephone!

Away teams using their training jersey, as BH said, could work (hope they've made plenty of them).
