I was on the Turbos @ $5.25. Hopefully it takes a while for the bookies to work out just how badly Wellington suck.
Good pay day BH, Wellington are imploding. Don't know when they last lost to Manawatu, and they had a couple of ABs available as well.

Forget about your fancy pants flick passes, the Magpies score a wonderful push over try to warm the cockles of any has-been Fatties heart.

Ranfurly Shield Match: Hawkes Bay lead Counties 5-3 after 20 minutes.

Edit: The Gimlett Gravellers lead the Counties Steelers 17 - 9 with 38 minutes gone. Hawkes Bay looking good so far. Eaton (ex Force) and Dagg (Cru) playing well. Counties making it hard for the Magpies to score.

Ihaia West (NZ Maori, Blues) kicks PG to take the score to 20 - 9 at oranges.

Nicely taken try to Hawkes Bay brings them back to the lead. 27-21 in the Magpies favour. 12 mintutes to go.

Believe it or not 2011, also 2010 but prior to that their Championship year, 1981.

Poetic justice, Manawatu have been pretty badly treated by Wellington over the years, just need Hawkes Bay to knock them over as well & the Vikings revenge will be complete!

Speaking of the Bay, congrats on bringing the Shield a little closer to it's natural home.

Meanwhile in the Heartland Championship my mighty 'nua smashed Wanganui 34-23, wouldn't be surprised if we haven't beaten them since the '93 Div 3 Final.

Waikato 22-16 v North Harbour, Damian McKenzie 17 points.

Otago 33-22 v Southland.

Taranaki v BOP & Auckland v Tasman to complete the round, Tasman in with a real chance as the Auks have been fairly average so far this year. Taranaki should be too good for BOP, though the short turn-around could come into it if BOP are close going into the last 20.

Perfect weather at Yarrows Stadium in Taranaki. The pitch is looking magnificent, almost painted green.

Game of two halves. 'Naki out to 34 - 3 at half time. No score in the next 37 minutes. Go figure.

Is Marty Mckenzie from 'Naki the brother of Damien McKenzie (2014 NZ U20 #15/2013 NZ Schoolboy)?

Yes he is.

Final score 41-3 & a 4-try BP for the naki, so much for the 4-day turnaround coming into play (although I note naki had 5 tries at HT & only got the 6th inside the last 10).

"That's why forwards don't kick the ball".
Stephan Luatua gifts Tasman Makos a try with a kick that is a cross between The Honey Badgers and Liam Gil's left foot effort.

Someone will past a You Tube Link in due course. Pretty sure it will be on a Sean Maloney Top 5 list fairly soon.
