It is sad that in recent years some of Australia's best have missed out( both at school/club level and at rep level), due to injury.

I heard of an interesting new treatment for tennis elbow, where they remove blood, centrifug it, or something, and then when it is returned it does wonders as an anti-inflammatory

Anyway curious to know of improvements to injury treatment

As always a shame to see some of the best sitting on the sidelines.

Meant to label this forum "injury news" and other related

Hopefully no season Enders, before season already started..

Good to see Crichton from last year made Souths nines team

I think in cricket circles, as well as rugby and other collision sports it has been noted that wear and tear on young bones and joints seems to be prevalent in those performing constantly at high levels. careers are often finished for the broken ones by the time they are mid twenties, those that can cope bones have hardened seem to have less injuries from mid twenties on.
With sports running almost 52 weeks a year, some managers are realising the value in rest. funnily enough such formulas for rest have been around for millennia, either demonstrated buy farmers rotating their crops or creators taking a break after six days of planet building.

The risk of such breaks is early season matches seem to generate long injury lists as players are a little soft and the computer has been slow at retrieving data sent to the archives relating to timing and body shape/positioning when going into contact. These are a skill lost after a break as much as catching and passing.
