I may have to readjust my assessment of Uni for 2015 on the basis of this side - it doesn't look as imposing as the one that went undefeated for 12(?) rounds last year - they will have to fight harder to secure their wins without Buchanan, Thompson, etc.

They are not lay down mazaire for the minor premiership that we all thought.

Where's all the recruits Souths were getting?

8 - Former Easts 1st Grade
1 - Solid player but played res/ 1st grade last year
12 - Spat his toys a few seasons back & moved to Brothers only to realise he was average wherever he went
13 - A year out of school with no great wraps
14 - Souths 1st grade player last year
15 - Has changed clubs more often then underwear for a young lad. Clearly goals & ability aren't aligned

Red Heavy - no room for Matt Randell in the Prem side for tomorrow.

Hammer - Porter was a Tony Shaw Medalist for Easts in the 2008 GF, until your mob got your grubby hands on him.

Is Dagleish on U20s duty? Where's Scott Gale?

Come on Bond show us what you got!! Come on Doggies!!

No seriously good luck to every club tomorrow - it is going to be hot so take your sunscreen!!
Randell dislocated his shoulder in the Aus Championship game & is out for a few more weeks. Scott Gale is also injured this week & Dalgleish is starting at 10 in the last Reds U20 trial against GPS Prems before the squad for the National tournament is announced on Tuesday.

Don't worry too much TT the kids from uni will do alright.

Wow!
Thanks for that Breakdown. Nothing like a few put-downs in lieu of constructive criticism or comment.
I'm sure the lads will be grateful for the extra motivation this season.

Loveit when tigers juniors make it to Prem Grade. Richards and Milosevic.

Also love seeing the return of Froggy at 10. Back to the Future tigers style.

Interesting to see Dion Tuamata back in BLK QPR. I thought very highly of him when he was at Sunnybank and the Reds should have looked closely at him. Now he is back and our lack of 10s at reds might help him.

Where did he go for a couple seasons?

Also notice couple former easts players Cox and Fattal at GC. The tide has turned.

What has Froggy been doing in recent seasons?

He looked pretty composed in the Souths trial, great cover for Brandon.

Dion will be really good for Bond.

Is it GPS, Bros, Souths for Milne?

Isn't #10 his preferred position?

They have some very good prem players in there as well. Faeo at prop, Murday at 2nd row, Tela at 10 and Lalagavesi at wing. (excuse any spelling mistakes.)
Your list breakdown could also be seen as journeymen, diamonds in the rough and late bloomers. All of which are found in winning sides.

Sunnybank 28 Souths 19. Not made easy for Souths with Murday taken to Reds squad about an hour and half before kick off and Jake Milne injured in early minutes. 12 nil tco Souths in second half.

Brothers played very well in the first half before going to sleep totally in the second half with Wests coming back and nearly beating the Brethren. Wests will upset a few teams this year. They're a good side.

Tupou didn't play today. Michael Birmingham took his spot in the front row (loose head).

Frank Row (1)
Uni 21 Bond 18. Bond made good on Uni slipups but their pack were well and truly outplayed.

Stumpy

Allen Oxlade (6)
Brothers 44 d Wests 31

Pretty good footy out at Sylvan Rd today. Glad Brothers got the chocolates in the end.

Game over down at Shaw Rd. Easts beat Norths 26-15.

Paty305 or TGB did you see the game at Hugh Courtney Oval - thoughts or comment?

How are GPS looking ahead of their first comp game v Easts this Sat @ Bottomley?
