Please correct me. Through the entire broadcast tonight Maloney and Hoiles repeatedly mentioned a win would keep the Rays faint semi final hopes alive. Then as Louise Ransome and Hoiles were wrapping up they said the Rays could still mathematically make the play offs. The table above has the last. And while they are correct in saying mathematically they're a chance, then so too is everyone else. Yet there was NO mention of the Rams chances for playoffs during the whole broadcast.

I find it perplexing they could put such a slant on it. I don't follow the NRC at all. But I watched tonight coz the Mrs was out (no complaints) and I wanted to support our boy Larry Hermens on the wing as I couldn't get there. So I had nfi who had what chance of making semis or who didn't, but until I checked this blog waiting for rwc to start again tonight I wouldn't have known.

It's a shame.

At the start of the telecast they said that the Rays were a chance but I didn't mention to hear it towards the end as both teams are out of finals contention all together. It is also hard to give the Rams a finals plus if they have just won their first game of the competition tonight. Then continue to proceed and say oh by the way after that first win the Rams are now a 'mathematical' chance to make the finals.

They have got to sort out telecasts so got camera's on stands where crowds are....as just switched on to look at Rams versus Spirit game on foxsports and seeing camera's focussed on empty stands (ie not side where crowds are) is just so unappealing psychologically for fans watching a telecast....

Anyone able to shed some light on Fox sports "On Demand" replays? They used to b posted every week after a day or 2 now there seems to be no change since 2 October or thereabouts and the last 2 weeks games seem to be forgotten. Help appreciated.

Hugh, are these numbers from your own collations?

Muchas gracias Señor, if so.

Had a brief look on the NRC site but didn't find these lists.

I think GAGR should do an end of season wrap with all this stuff on the blog - Top try and point scorers, GAGR Motm counts, crowds, and so on.

Perhaps a blog on GAGR Team of the Year as well?

@Kiap,

The numbers I post come from the Jarsometer, which is s fairly simple little spreadsheet with some fancy queries sitting on top of it to extract the information in a usable format fairly quickly.

I do similar for Shute Shield and Sydney Colts. Once the Jarsometer is built, it doesn't take all that much to maintain the beast, and it will keep on giving.

HJ, impressive stats, just a small discrepancy..

Under the Worst 5 BIP you have highlighted:
30:57 minutes - Brisbane City v UC Vikings - Round 9

when it should actually read:
30:57 minutes - Brisbane City v Greater Sydney Rams - Round 9

This also mean that the Rams feature in the worst BIP 3 times, and Vikings only twice.
