So some positives for the Reds is that Talakai, Kotze, Magnay, Kerevi, Kuridrani, Murday and Faagase have only debut'd since late 2014, surely proving the value of the NRC competition. Pretty exciting with Tapuai, Simmons, Holmes, JOC (James O'Connor), Fainga'a, all due back in the next couple of weeks.

Hey lads, I'm looking the player profile of Tom Murday. There is nothing on the website: http://www.redsrugby.com.au/Reds/RedsSquad.aspx Where Can I find it?

Tom Murday announced on the bench for the Reds this weekend! A lot of us were calling for him a few months back. He is a very good pick up if he's been brought in on a full contract! EDIT: He runs heavy, excellent in the lineout and gets around the paddock well. Brisbane boy who holds the...

...and a coach or sponsor?) Scenario A - 4 players 1-2 props, a lock, back rower (could be same guy) and outside back? e.g Talakai, Smith/Murday (or similar), Vito, some outside back with ridiculous pace/skills (NRC prospect or Digby?) Scenario B - 3 players 1 Prop (we'd have to stack the EPS...

...should be priority number 1 for the Reds IMO. At lock I think the reds should look to the NRC and also the qld lads playing in the ITM like Murday. Ioane in the outside backs would round out the backline nicely. But also think the reds should be looking at a solid well rounded kicking...

I suppose to be fair I'm more attracted to Murday's workrate and aerial skills. Big engine, makes a billion tackles and can carry the ball skillfully. Physical stats are just a nice adjunct. My personal opinion is that he either is already or soon will be a better option for the squad/bench...

...right about Kotze, I'd class him similarly to McDuling in that I doubt he's fast enough to play in the back row. Buchanan is only 25, so is Murday. They're listed about the same weight at 112kg but Murday is 200cm. If Bucky has a professional future it's probably at 6/8. Tom is a genuine...

...he can play in the row. Enever is around too and can really only progress from here with game time, Behind him are guys like Buchanan, Kotze and Payne who all lack the beef to be top locks atm but have potential to get there. The middle rung is lacking. I want a guy like Murday around for...

The Northland team also featured Sione 'Nons' Kite who played flyhalf at GPS for a number of years recently.

So I'm watching a bit of ITM cup today and Michael Stolberg comes off the bench for his debut for Northland...replacing Tom Murday. Two Brisbane lads in the one ITM team. 2nd rowers. We should keep an eye on them

Tom Murday would be terrific. He was absolutely terrific for Northland and I've been reading that Sirs JK and Henry rate him highly. I want him back particularly if Ed O'don has decided to call time

I'm not sure how the contracting system works over there between ITM Cup and S15. If you look at the Blues website Murday is listed there but he hasn't debuted. I think if a player is currently playing for northland perhaps it's used as a wider training squad or eps even for the Blues. Either...

Tom Murday seems to be on contract with the Auckland Blues. Currently playing with them at the World Club 10's. I thought he was back in Canberra with the Vikings. Looks like he may not be on the Reds Shopping list for next year.

Tom Murday is not the tallest bloke either from memory. Still, he is defintely a Brisbane boy, so it couldn't hurt to get him back in the system if he were better than the other blokes.

Murday was leading lineout taker at the Taniwha and got around the park well too. Problem you've got is the same as the Wallabies have: Simmons partnering Horwill for so long, there are no opportunities to stake your claim. Their form declines, the coach is going to back them to find it again...

Getting Tom Murday back would be a good start. He was impressive last season for Northland was it? He also holds the record for fastest time eating a 1kg steak in 3 min 45 sec. 1kg steak consumption time should be as important a factor in selecting the tight five as the beep test is for the...

Another lock needed in QLD? What about Tom MURDAY? Playing some club footy in Canberra as a semi pro with the VIkings. Seen moonlighting in NZ ITM cup last year for the Northland Taniwhas. Big lump of a lad from memory of the ITM cup last year, and I think he is originally from Queensland.
