Nathan McNab (IGS) played 1st XV as a winger in year 8 and served five years in the firsts, becoming a regular in Gr 9, representing Q Country U16 and Q2 in Gr 10 and captaining the 1st XV in year 12 as a centre. Selection politics seemed to count against him going further as he was a stand out...

A blast from the past to finish up the season. BBC v IGS With more injuries than the lead landing craft on 'Saving Private Ryan' BBC's only chance is that the nearby Mi-Hi Tavern does not run a Woodstock Bourbon promotion with associated wet T shirt contest and tattoo show which could prove...

There are no bagpipes in the Pacific Islands so the boys would not have known what was going on.Better to do a school haka.

What schools are the Coaches and Asst Coaches from for Q1 and Q2 this year? I think Q2 is Jon Fitzgerald from Marist Ashgrove.

Gee Country Jack, the TGS defeat in 2015 of eventual premiers ACGS at ACGS with a very vocal home crowd fully expecting a Vikings win sure does lend weight to your "TGS doesn't travel well" contention.

Except for when they don't have plenty of $$ and do it anyway. Ask some Churchie rugby people how the school is still paying back all of the free trips they gifted the scholarship boys of the 2014 side.

My god what a rant. Mitch where were you when a BGS team with more than its share of imports, including Sam Greene poached from Churchie, won the cup in 2012???? Talk about short memories. These are the sourest grapes I have ever heard on a forum where there are quite a few whingers, you sad...

RH, mates of mine at Churchie closely involved with the team would tell you the seeds of the winning culture in this team were sewed by 2013 15A coaches Shaun McLean and David Bell who totally turned around an unsuccessful 14A side and gave them belief. Bell's move to TGS as Director of Sport...

I think it was back on July 15 I said I was surprised no one was tipping Churchie as premiers this year. I called it then but said it would be a tie with BBC and NC. well done to coach Michael Lucas, a quietly effective communicator who did a lot of the work for last years win but got no credit.

The answer is D - 11. All imports are backs. The rest are all homegrown.

The word around the parishes. BBC-v TSS This a hard one to pick. A resurgent BBC still cashed up from their 10 year sponsorship from Anusol and a TSS side bouyed by a first round win and the Grattan Institute's identification of Southport as the MILF capital of Queensland GPS, much to the...

Dear Sage Can TGS please be called TGS and not TGA? We don't call Grammar "BGA" or Ipswich "IGA." Apologies if this was a typo but it has been coming up a bit. It makes my Tourette's Syndrome flare up...... HEAVILY TURDED UNDERPANTS!!!!!!....... ....see?

With the season about to start, I am interested to see no pundits considering Churchie. I respect the title claims held by BBC, TSS and NC but I'm just warning fans that you write these Churchie guys off at your peril. You read it here first. There will be a 3 way tie for the cup and...

Hi Brian I recall you having quite a bite at me last season (or the season before?) when I raised Glen Cronan's credentials as a selector when he had no significant coaching experience behind him. I recall you speaking in glowing terms of his selecting experience and service to rugby over...

Hi King. We are all entitled to our opinions. I would like to put these points to you. 1. Anyone who has a tape like this about themselves is obviously dealing with some self esteem issues. What is it with BGS? Sam Greene also has a doco that seeks to portray him on par with Michael...

Fair points King. Two recent hard men to impress me have been Angus Leahy (NC 2007) and Jarad Butler (TSS 2007-08). they were fair players, not dirty players but hard over the ball and tremendously effective role players in their teams and at higher levels. Old timers may recall one of the...

GSP, you know what? It probably counts for a bit because of the camraderie built within a successful age group but I can accept that the new face syndrome can readily undermine it, just as all the other distractions of life in senior these days - posting on social media, girls, study, posting...

He was. The 2012 Churchie 15A side was all homegrown with some kids at Churchie since Year 1. A mate who is a Churchie dad told me Ogilvie the 2014 winger was the 10 back in 2012. Mason came in 2013 and the rest turned up from time to time over the course of the next 12 months or so as the...
