Tbh I’m not sure I’d back green in for the next match - only provided 2 overs with no real venom or threat and a fairly soft dismissal as well. In saying that I don’t suspect the pitch against the SAFAS to be as spin friendly as it was for India.
Only one score above 30 for Robinson in the 1s last year, however I understand a lot can change in a year and he could be prime for a better second year with his first season under his belt.
470* and 4th highest. But agreed - I think once he found his spot opening it obviously helped him and coming off a high volume summer of cricket with greenshield also did him good as his numbers in the second half of the season showed.
I am interested to see how Tesoriero backs up his debut year in the 1s, finished with a hundred against Newington which was a big achievement for the young man. Would it be wrong to pencil him in for a top 5 run scorers this season?
Let me know your thoughts.

I don’t believe it’s an issue for most schools I think each is different but cricket being a non contact sport often allow Year 9s upwards play. Then there is the case if you’re good enough you’re old enough for those in year 8 and sometimes year 7 but extremely rare cases.
Going off the GPS AFL team from the last few years Scots do have the talent and players with a number of Swans academy players but the school just simply doesn't offer it and as for Kings I've got no idea.
On the contrary actually.
In 2016 (AFL Comp Started) - Only 1 9/10s division with 1 Riverview and 1 Shore 9/10s team, with no team from Newington.
In 2023 - Riverview and Newington both had 3 9/10s teams as well as 2 from Shore across the now 3 divisions for 9/10s AFL.
In 2016 (AFL Comp...
Agreed and its popularity seems to be ever-growing in Sydney. If you compare average crowds at Waratahs games (approx 11000) vs a Swans game (33000 in 2023), rugby definitely has some work to do. Even the West Tigers attendance is about 14000 and they're at rock bottom. The Wallabies still do...
Curious to see how they balance the team. There are a lot of guys who could easily make the starting 11 I hope they experiment a bit in the SA series and don't just go with the same one-dimensional team as usual.
Way too early but something like this.
1. Scots or View
2. Kings
3. Grammar.
4. Joeys.
5. New
6. Shore
7. High.
Scots and Views batting should be the best of the lot this year but cricket is a funny game.
Kings should have some good young players coming through a successful 2s team and always...
You have to feel for SAC and its players who don't get the same monetary support as other schoolboy rugby programs, instead focusing on trying to rise in HSC ranks.
Gents,
Stoked to see a cricket forum up and about!
Looking at the results from last year the View 2nds bowling contingent was largely Year 11 and 10s (and were quite good) so I expect them to back up for the 2023-24 season. Young Sam Dillon should be their primary spinner after a good year in...
