With 8 returning Nudgee players after a premiership winning season I'd say they are still the strongest team across brisbane, and I am unsure how GT could come be a positive win team this year after not showing anything in there so far trials
Dominate performance from Nudgee with several starters coming off early in the 2nd half getting a well deserved rest. Churchie looked lost across the park though the addition of Max Blanch this week added some spark, but churchie failed to find points only scoring one try off the back of a maul...
Not sure if i would call GT a premiership contender but I'm sure the likes of NC, TGS, BBC and BSHS will shake some feather in the top four this year. Would have to wait for GT to knock down one of these front runners in term 3 to take them seriously.
I like your top 4 don't see any of those teams falling out of there. But I think BGS at 5th is outrageous I don't Terrace falling below Grammar and even in an off year for Churchie I don't seem them coming below Grammar aswell. I would slide state high up a little bit and IGS in the bottom 3...
Would be good to see them being competitive but I don't see them winning more then 1 game if that. It will be interesting to see how they go in the upcoming trials to see if they can hold their ground instead of being the joke of the GPS.
With first round of GPS trials starting this week and some average results from BBC and TSS over the weekend it will be interesting to see what sort of teams each school will put out as selections are narrowing down. Would be keen to see any predictions for the weekend ahead.
Thanks for the support mate people just don't want to accept when the best team from last year has 7 returning players and Nudgee is a world class rugby nursery they will hold over half the all star team. Although I wouldn't go to the stretch of making all 15 Nudgee players as the comp is bigger...
With the upcoming season only a couple months away and the AIC season just starting made me think of the old days were the GPS and AIC allstar games occured. Here is my prediction if the GPS created an allstar team let me know your thoughts.
Kingsley Uys (TSS)
John Grenfell (NC)
Princeton...
Judging by the result against Shore, TSS have a long way to go to have a chance a raising the cup. Nudgee, TGS and BBC all look to be on another level then the boys from Southport. It's going to be a tight contest for 2nd across the GPS though with Nudgee proving pure rugby dominant with their...
Except for Nudgee with a quality outfit beating Barker comfortably with a poor set piece performance. Would be interesting to see Nudgee take on the more quality NSW schools.
