Well, that time of the year to get the crystal balls out .......
Some absolute finds this year across the various franchises. Who will next years discoveries be?
I will be very interested to see how both teams bounce back from this weekends disappointment. Two different frames of mind, the Force probably feel they let one get away, and the Reds have to pick themselves up off the floor after being towelled up.
From a Reds perspective, I wonder who is...
In 2011 we saw the likes of Tapuai, Vaea, Cruden, Dagg and Lambie, take their games to a new level and announce themselves as players of the future. Who else fits into the category?
Who does everyone think will be the emerging stars in 2012? I'll kick it off with the Reds and suggest that...
Saw a few posts in the 2011 thread relating to next season so I thought I'd start this.
Not sure how to transfer the relevant posts from the old thread though? IT retard here so maybe one of the mods can assist?
I've seen bits and pieces in numerous threads and I'm not even sure whether there has been a thread dedicated to this, but how is next year going to work?
As far as I can gather each Franchise will have a 30 man squad. Does this include rookie contracts or are they additional? If the latter...
This game is being advertised for 2.00 p.m. on Sunday 27th March out at Ballymore. Is anyone aware of any squads?
There will be a couple out with their respective Super sides. For UQ, Hanson won't be there and the halfback Prior is probably only an injury away from a bench halfback spot...
OK...It's getting close and we're all getting a little excited. Last year we saw the breakthrough of the Fainga'a twins and Rod Davies, the rebirth of Kurtley Beale as a fullback, and the emergence of Kane Douglas, Pat McCabe and Israel Dagg.
Who will be the finds of 2011? Bold predictions...
Have seen mention of a few club players in various threads as having potential for S14 and higher but don't know if there is a thread dedicated to the topic.
Who is running around in club land, anywhere in OZ, that is not in a S14 setup (incl. Academy) that might be worth developing?
I'll...
Yeah I know.... that old chestnut.
It's been really good to see the likes of the Fainga'a brothers and Rod Davies show this year that they really do belong in S14. Up until this year, most of us wrote them off as useless and not up to it. Now punters are suggesting them as possibilites for...
Mods - could we please have an IRB icon?
I know there is a Sevens thread somewhere but I can't find it.
Fiji has taken out the Wellington Sevens, beating Samoa in the final. Australia beat South Africa in the Plate final. That's not a bad result.
Just to keep things tidy I will start a separate thread.
Based on what I have seen in the last few games, and injuries notwithstanding, here is the Reds side I would like to see on the paddock for the final trial:
15. Hynes 14. Morahan 13. Turinui. 12. Fainga'a 11. Ioane 10. Cooper 9. Genia 8...
And now onto Ballymore this Friday night against the Crusaders....
It will be interesting to see if squad sizes are as large as they were last weekend and which of the top line Reds will be back. Hopefully we get to see Chambers and Braid in action along with most of the Wallabies.
I hope we...
Just looking at the Tah's thread and seeing attempts at naming a game day squad. I'd be interested to see what Punters put up as possible starting sides for all the franchises. NTA's Tah's selection is a good starting point (Agree with WJ though, Beale has to be starting):
In any case, my...
