Certainly, schools like Riverview and - in particular - Newington have shown a consistent and flagrant disregard for other speakers and the ethos of competitive debating itself.

Congratulations to The Scots College for winning the 2015 GPS Debating Championship in Senior A after defeating Sydney Grammar tonight. This is the first time since 1987 that The College has held the Rutledge Shield. All involved should be extremely proud of such a fine achievement.

Have just heard that Elle Jones won't be coaching at Sydney Grammar next year. Considering the Class of 2015 is widely regarded as the worst debating generation the school has produced since Turnbull's days we may well see a new winner in the GPS.

Between Loughley and Wolfe I'd say Grammar are set for another GPS title next year - although ISDA could be a more open competition.

Have just got word that James Stratton's done his ACL and is likely to be out for the rest of the season. This could open GPS right up.

I know that Grammar won and Riverview lost - Ignatius had an absolute shocker apparently, so I'm not sure how they'll recover from this.
