Please spare us the agony of the TMO in Shute Shield matches. One of the best things about club rugby is the absence of the TMO. And you know what? I reckon the accuracy of decisions overall is probably a fairly similar percentage. Without boring us to death with 20 replays.

I was convinced Manly would win this year. Very surprised to see them give up a winning lead to lose to Souths. Alarm bells going off conceding 62 points to Wests last week. Can you imagine NRL minor premiers Melbourne Storm letting in 62 points? Interesting times!!
62-52 is an astonishing scoreline for any match. Tackling clearly optional today. It's also astonishing that any team at all could put 62 points on Manly. They are the minor premiers after all. I wonder if the team was full strength?
The state school comps in any sport are half assed affairs that do little to develop players. The Waratah Shield is a knockout comp so even the finalists only play about five games. Local clubs do a million times better job.
I couldn't believe they chose Manly v Parra for the TV game. I'm all for watching all the teams but maybe when Parra play Wests might be a bit more entertaining than a very predictable flogging at the hands of one of the competition heavyweights.
