Yep sua has played every game for broncs this year and been one of their best forwards I am told. I thought he was trialling for schoolboys in GPS, but word is he wanted to but was advised against it and is focusing on churchie union. Would have loved to see him in Qld side for rugby...

BSHS and Churchie aside, I don't think number of selections into a State team or National team really say who is a better team really. We all know politics play a part in the make up of most rep teams and this year. It really is on how a team plays as a team that makes them the better team. Im...

Its hard to comment on who was the better team out of BSHS 09 or Churchie 14. I think you couldn't know unless you had seen most games of both seasons, which I highly doubt any of us have. I have heard the big reputation of the BSHS team, but in 09 the scholarship race was just beginning really...

That highlight video is great. Just heard Churchie took out the rugby sevens over the weekend. The team has to be one of the best teams in QLD GPS history.

Oh okay, so this identification Reds squad is to look at GPS teams for next year? I just thought it was for any U17s - does this mean U17s leaving school this year are not eligible?

I don't think any of the Qld Aussie school boys will be back in GPS next year. Maybe Tuaina? I would say that the Reds identification squad would give you a good idea as I suppose that is the point of it. However, it would contain 17 year olds who may be finishing school this year wouldn't it...

My source also tells me Reece will be turning 19 in 2016. That is why he would be in u19. If he was turning 18, then he would be still eligible to play in an u18 comp.

BSHS had MANY on scholarship in 2008. And we have to remember there were a few boys who didn't try out for Aust schoolboys in churchie who most likely would have been strong contenders.

Ponga didn't feature as predominately in the wetter games for obvious reasons.. but dosent mean he didn't play well. The forwards control the wet games. I too think he is better suited to rugby, but I am sure he will tear it up up north. however much of a gun player he is though, sometimes too...

Didn't get to see any games this week. But I would say the whole Churchie team just about deserves nomination across the 15. That second half that was posted, gee whiz. Footwork, flick passing, strong lines, crazy talented backline, I don't think individually there would be many better. Lets...

I heard 4 tries from ponga. Three each for centres

TOTY would be a hard one to contribute to. But I suppose the more people who contribute, the more you can get a feel of the top 4 in their positions. Would be hard as I have really only seen most teams once besides two teams in the comp - so would be hard to contribute. Ive seen all, bar 1...

Good report there. After watching good video of game was going to try my hand at writing up a report on this game myself (in prep for giving it a go next year when my boy will be playing), but glad I didn't as yours is a whole lot better. Great examples of perese, thought he played just over...

I thinking ME has a bit of wishful thinking going on there! and I do think forum contributors have it a bit wrong in relation to Churchie. I know quite a few families from that team this year, and from all accounts they are not cocky about winning the premiership undefeated as some may think...

I have also heard from Churchie parents/people that the boys that have come across in the last few years are some of the nicest lads you will meet, not big headed superstars who think they are bigger than the team. This is another key here and what from what I know, has been missing from some...

Dame Edna? C'mon... Takes a Special coach to get a bunch of champions to play like a champion team. Looks like Gilmore has done that.. sounds like a few people obviously not churchie fans. I like to give credit when it's due

Great news about Eddie, he is a great kid with talent to match. Still believe BSHS would have been a big threat this year, had they not had their injury toll.

that's a great statement about this years 12 for Churchie and obviously you know your rugby. My comments were that of praise. I have seen 2.5 games and I was impressed by the kids physicality and the fact he does actually know his role. I thought he could have been exposed by a more...
