    Shute Shield 2013

No, you used the literary technique of using an abusive quote to berate me and my defense of Sam and you pretend innocence. I took offence.

Please reread. I was referring to Chris Rock.

    Galloping Greens

Coach, I don't understand why you have Norton playing in 2nds. If Beale is a fresh reserve for the top team, he won't be needed as a back up, so why play him in grade at all when he would be so important to the colts against the star studded students. I know it is not as simplistic as 2nds...

New coaches change things. Didn't the Brumbies have the Wallaby12?

    Shute Shield 2013

Utter shite. A little known fact is that as captain of Waverley College 1st XV, Sam led the team through a whole season without one yellow or red card. Given that Waverley probably average two yellows a game, your slur against Sam is just so inappropriate.

    Waratahs 2014

Cheika uses a three pod system and for mine the two most important positions are the centres. The inside centre becomes the central ball distributor in the centre pod and either gives the short ball to a forward or the long ball to the outside centre or fullback. The 13 must be fast, strong and...

Show me where people have said Cheika wants JOC (James O'Connor) as a 13 for his game plan. You should probably have the courtesy of reading peoples' posts before you take the piss out of them.

    Waratahs 2014

I think Cheika would walk over red hot coals to have JOC (James O'Connor). He would fit in perfectly with Cheika's game plan at 13. Heard it here first.

The NSWRU draws, results and ladders page for Colts include the player points allocated to all reserves, fresh or not. Are there different rules for Colts?

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

I have no doubt that QC (Quade Cooper) is hard work both on and off the field. Link has probably spent thousands of hours nurturing and developing Cooper as a player and a person. It must really irk him to see Deans pile on the pressure and dent his confidence the way he is doing now. As a QC (Quade Cooper) fan, I don't...

    Kurtley in Trouble Again

That is the point. He does have a very serious problem with alcohol. He could spend the rest of his life fighting it. I liked how Greenberg handled Barba. He stated that Barba had a major problem and could be away from the game for up to 2 seasons. The open ended time frame seemed to focus him...

    Kurtley in Trouble Again

Yes it is a real shame. But the real idiots are those who thought that he would become a responsible/reformed drinker in 4 weeks.

    Thoughts on Folau to rugby

I think $800K is about right. On the radio this morning Ben Ikin suggested that Folau was going to decide about choosing between league and union after a stint in Japanese rugby. This will present a problem for the ARU, given they vetoed the same stints in Japanese rugby for Cooper and Genia.

    Thoughts on Folau to rugby

And pay him 25% more than Pocock, Genia and Cooper? No NRL team would ever pay that much for an outside back. Inglis excepted.

    Thoughts on Folau to rugby

Todd Greenberg, when announcing his acceptance of the 2IC position at the NRL, stated that his primary objectives were: (1) to keep SBW in the game and (2) to bring back to the game, Israel Folau. Greenberg is very smart and he will have the support of Channel 9 boosting the financials...

    Galloping Greens

That is a very, very young backline. Will they serve 'fairy bread' at half time? All very classy, though. Smart coach.

    Drugs in sport

The story behind the Bulldogs casual attire is that they were ordered by the police to attend a hearing immediately. They were training at the time of this order and told (by the police) not to waste time changing. But hang on. A race horse peptide has been implicated in the death of a player...

Rugby League really gives me the shits

I see SBW as a bellwether of the future fortunes of the two competing codes. The announcement of million dollar contracts for Benji and Inglis is bad news for rugby union. Five years ago oz union could pick the eyes out of league talent with their larger player payments, but this situation...
