Just bought a jersey for my son in the city. Lots of people buying wallaby stuff, a really good vibe. Whatever happens tonight Cheika and team have done something great for Australian rugby.
And we will win btw.
Cheika intends to start Beale at 12 according to press reports.
Wayne Smith says:
Cheika has run five different 10/12 combinations in the past eight Tests and indicated he was set to tinker with the inside backs again by starting Kurtley Beale at inside-centre in the World Cup warm-up match in...
And another (sobering) article from a former SBS journalist.

It ends with this:
"
Next Saturday night, the Wallabies will play the All Blacks in Sydney. Traditionally, the All Blacks will perform their fierce, bloodletting pre-match...
Here is a link to a positive article about the dance Adam Goodes did. Worth a read.

Also on ABC news this morning Warren Mundine was calling for sporting teams to adopt a Bumalay...
I think the point is that we need to foster a greater appreciation of Aboriginal culture in wider Australian culture. ABumalay Yuurramay at sporting matches could be part of that process.
The article that started this discussion is worth another read...
It is no harder to consult with the Aboriginal peoples of Australia than it is to deal with any of diverse group in Australia. It has been done before and is being done at this moment with the move towards the recognition referendum.
The Aboriginal people i spoke to on the weekend didn't think it was tokenism, they thought it was a great idea.
You could argue that recognition in the constitution and the apology for the stolen generation are just symbolic gestures but I'm sure you'll find that they have widespread support...
New Zealand is also a pluralist society yet they are able to acknowledge and celebrate the survival and strength of their indigenous people. Why can't Australia do the same, symbolic gestures like this are an important part of the reconciliation process. Think about South Africa's anthem and...
I have been suggesting there should be an acknowledgment and celebration of Australia's Indigenous history and culture before next weeks match (the topic of this thread). How is this not discussing Bledisloe 1?
Fortunately or unfortunately sport, politics and culture are inextricably and inevitably bound. As far as possible sport should assist building an inclusive and tolerant society.
I think rugby supporters should vocally reject the racial vilification of Adam Goodes. We should support positive...
Stand with Adam.
The wallabies should do a Bumalay Yuurrmay next week.
"We all know and admire the Haka ... so why not one of http://theconversation.com/we-all-know-and-admire-the-haka-so-why-not-one-of-our-own-45432
A bit like this blog really.
If Beale plays well don 't mention him. If he, along with others backs, doesn't win the game pin the blame on him.
Did you notice where Foley was? Yep as usual when we lose he was AWOL, can 't blame him though. Beale and folau where the only waratahs backs who kept...
